Note:Servicetheaircleanermorefrequently(every
fewhours)ifoperatingconditionsareextremelydusty
orsandy.
RemovingtheElements
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceand
disengagetheblade-controlswitch(PTO).
2.Engagetheparkingbrake,shutofftheengine,
removethekey,andwaitforallmovingpartsto
stopbeforeleavingtheoperatingposition.
3.Cleanaroundtheair-cleanercovertoprevent
dirtfromgettingintotheengineandcausing
damage.
4.Liftthecoverandrotatetheair-cleanerassembly
outoftheengine(Figure27).

2.Inspecttheelementfortears,anoilylm,and
damagetotheseal.
Important:Donotcleanthepaperelement
withpressurizedairorliquids,suchas
solvent,gas,orkerosene.Replacethepaper
elementifitisdamagedorcannotbecleaned
thoroughly.
