2.Inspecttheelementfortears,anoilylm,ordamageto
therubberseal.

InstallingtheFilters
Important:Topreventenginedamage,alwaysoperate
theenginewithbothairltersandthecoverinstalled.
1.Ifinstallingnewlters,checkeachlterforshipping
damage.
Note:Donotuseadamagedlter.
2.Ifthesecondarylterisbeingreplaced,carefullyslide
itintothelterbody(
Figure46).
3.Carefullyslidetheprimarylteroverthesecondary
lter(Figure46).
4.Ensurethatitisfullyseatedbypushingontheouter
rimofthelterwhileinstallingit.
Important:Donotpressonthesoftinsidearea
ofthelter.
5.Installtheair-cleanercoverwiththebreathercapdown,
androtatesothattheretainingclampslockthecover
inplace(
Figure46).
