Storage
CleaningandStoringthe
Machine
1.Disengagethepower-takeoff(blade-controlswitch
(PTO),settheparkingbrake,andturntheignitionkey
totheOffposition,andremovethekey.
2.Removegrassclippings,dirt,andgrimefromthe
externalpartsoftheentiremachine(especiallythe
engineandhydraulicsystem).Cleandirtandchaff
fromtheoutsideoftheengine-cylinder-headnsand
theblowerhousing.
Important:Youcanwashthemachinewithmild
detergentandwater.Donotpressurewashthe
machine.Avoidexcessiveuseofwater,especially
nearthecontrolpanel,engine,hydraulicpumps,
andmotors.

4.Servicetheaircleaner;refertoServicingtheAir

5.Greasethemachine;referto

A.Addapetroleumbasedstabilizer/conditionerto
fuelinthetank.Followmixinginstructionsfrom
thestabilizermanufacturer.Donotuseanalcohol
basedstabilizer(ethanolormethanol).
Note:Afuelstabilizer/conditionerismost
effectivewhenmixedwithfreshfuelandusedat
alltimes.
B.Runtheenginetodistributeconditionedfuel
throughthefuelsystem(5minutes).
C.Stoptheengine,allowittocool,anddrainthefuel
tank;referto
ServicingtheFuelTank(page41).
D.Restarttheengineandrunituntilitstops.
E.Disposeoffuelproperly.Recycleasperlocal
codes.
Important:Donotstore
stabilizer/conditionedfuelover90days.
13.Checkandtightenallbolts,nuts,andscrews.Repairor
replaceanypartthatisdamaged.
14.Paintallscratchedorbaremetalsurfaces.Paintis
availablefromyourAuthorizedServiceDealer.
15.Storethemachineinaclean,drygarageorstoragearea.
Removethekeyfromtheignitionswitchandkeepit
