GeneralSafety
•Cleangrassanddebrisfromthecuttingunits,
mufers,andenginecompartmenttohelpprevent
res.Cleanupoilorfuelspills.
•Shutoffthefuelbeforestoringortransportingthe
machine.
•Disengagethedrivetotheattachmentwhenever
youaretransportingornotusingthemachine.
•Usefull-widthrampsforloadingthemachineinto
atrailerortruck.
•Tiethemachinedownsecurelyusingstraps,
chains,cable,orropes.Bothfrontandrearstraps
shouldbedirecteddownandoutwardfromthe
machine.
•Allowtheenginetocoolbeforestoringthemachine
inanyenclosure.
•Neverstorethemachineorfuelcontainerwhere
thereisanopename,spark,orpilotlight,such
asonawaterheateroronotherappliances.
PushingtheMachineby
Hand
Important:Alwayspushthemachinebyhand.Do
nottowthemachine,becausedamagemayoccur.
Thismachinehasanelectric-brakemechanism,and
topushthemachine,theignitionkeymustbeinthe
RUNposition.Thebatteryneedstobechargedand
functioningfortheelectricbraketobedisengaged.
PushingtheMachine
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,and
disengagetheblade-controlswitch.
2.Engagetheparkingbrake,shutofftheengine,
andwaitforallmovingpartstostopbefore
leavingtheoperatingposition.
3.Locatethebypassleversontheframeonboth
sidesoftheengine.
4.Movethebypassleversforwardthroughthekey
holeanddowntolocktheminplace(Figure31).

5.Disengagetheparkingbrake.
