6. Check both spring lengths, if adjustment is necessary, turn the top nut clockwise to shorten and
counterclockwise to lengthen. The spring length should measure 1.75 in. (44 mm) (Figure 35).
7. Re-check the spring length to ensure both springs are tensioned equally.
8. Disengage the parking brake by pushing the park brake handle all the way forward and down.
9. Rotate the upper brake linkage shaft until the end aligns with the hole in the park brake handle. Shorten the
linkage by turning clockwise, lengthen the linkage by turning counterclockwise.
10. Insert the park brake linkage into the upper brake linkage and secure with the locking cotter pin.
11. Repeat step 5, re-adjust if necessary.
12. Move the drive wheel bypass levers back into the operating (forward) position.
13. Lower the unit and verify proper function.
