Maintenance
Servicing the Battery
Service Interval: Monthly
NOTE: The battery should be maintained at 12.6 volts or greater. A battery that has reached a voltage of
12.4 volts or less is considered discharged, and should be recharged.
1. Charge the battery for 30 minutes at 10 A.
2. Test the battery voltage.
Servicing the Fuses
The electrical system is protected by fuses. The fuses require no maintenance. For more information on
troubleshooting the electrical system, refer to chapter 9.
Checking the Wheel Lug Nuts
Check and torque the wheel lug nuts to 95 ± 5 ft-lbs. (122-136 Nm).
Brake Maintenance
Adjusting the Park Brake
Service Interval: Every 500 hours

Belt Maintenance
Inspecting the Belts
Service Interval: Every 50 hours
Replace the belt if it is worn. The signs of a worn belt include squealing while the belt is rotating; the blades
slipping while cutting grass; and frayed edges, burn marks, and cracks on the belt.
