Operation
Note:Determinetheleftandrightsidesofthe
machinefromthenormaloperatingposition.
Important:Engagetheparkingbrakewhen
leavingthemachineunattended,evenifjustfor
afewminutes.
WARNING
Toavoidpersonalinjury,followthese
procedures:
•Becomefamiliarwithalloperatingand
safetyinstructionsintheOperator's
Manualforyourmachinebeforeusingthis
attachment.
•Neverremovethebaggerorbaggertubes
whiletheengineisrunning.
•Alwaysshutofftheengineandwaitforall
movingpartstostopbeforeclearingan
obstructionfromthebaggingsystem.
•Neverdomaintenanceorrepairswhilethe
engineisrunning.
•Engagetheparkingbrake.
WARNING
Withoutthegrassdeector,baggertubes,or
completebaggerassemblymountedinplace,
youandothersareexposedtobladecontact
andthrowndebris.Contactwiththerotating
mowerblade(s)andthrowndebriswillcause
injuryordeath.
•Alwaysinstallthegrassdeectorwhen
removingthebaggerandchangingtoside
dischargemode.
•Ifthegrassdeectoriseverdamaged,
replaceitimmediately.Thegrassdeector
routesmaterialdowntowardtheturf.
•Neverputyourhandsorfeetunderthe
mowerdeck.
•Nevertrytoclearthedischargeareaor
mowerbladesunlessyoumovethepower
take-off(PTO)tooffandrotatetheignition
keytooff.Alsoremovethekeyandpull
thewireoffthesparkplug(s).
•Shutofftheenginebeforeuncloggingthe
dischargechute.
CAUTION
Childrenorbystandersmaybeinjuredifthey
moveorattempttooperatethemachinewhile
itisunattended.
Alwaysremovetheignitionkeyandengage
theparkingbrakewhenleavingthemachine
unattended,evenifjustforafewminutes.
PositioningtheAdjustable
Bafe
AdjustthebafetopositionB(middleposition)
forbagging.RefertotheOperatorManualforthe
machine.

EmptyingtheGrassBags
Grassbagsareheavywhenfull.Becarefulwhen
liftingorhandlingagrassbagthatisfull.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,disengage
thePTO,andengagetheparkingbrake.
2.Unlatchthebaggerlatch.
3.Openthebaggerhood.
4.Compressthedebrisintothebags.Withboth
hands,liftuponthebagandunhookitfromthe
baggerbracket.
5.Grabthehandleonthebottomofthebagand
tipitovertoemptythebag(Figure40).
