WARNING
Ifyouleavethekeyinthekeyswitch,someonecouldaccidentlystarttheengineandseriously
injureyouorotherbystanders.
Removethekeyanddisconnectthewirefromthesparkplugbeforeyoudoanymaintenance.
Setthewireasidesothatitdoesnotaccidentallycontactthesparkplug.
WARNING
Enginescanbecomehotwhentheyareoperating.Severeburnscanoccurfromcontactinghot
surfaces.
Allowengines,especiallythemufer,tocoolbeforetouching.
WARNING
Debris,suchasleaves,grass,orbrushcancatchre.Areintheengineareacancause
personalinjuryandpropertydamage.
Keeptheengineandmuferareafreeofdebrisaccumulation.
Takecarewhenopeningthebaggercovertokeepdebrisfromfallingontotheengineand
muferarea.
Allowthemachinetocoolbeforestoringit.
PreparingforMaintenance
Dothefollowingstepsbeforepreformingmaintenance
onthemachine:
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.
2.DisengagethePTO,movethemotioncontrol
leverstotheNEUTRAL-LOCKposition,andengage
theparkingbrake.
3.Shutofftheengineandremovethekey.
4.Cleanthemowerofanydebrisonthedeckor
rearpartofthemowertoeasemaintenance.
