Installation Instructions

1. Remove belt guard.

2. Remove pivot assembly #1 from engine leaving

all parts attached.

3. Remove bolt #7 from reverse idler arm. Install

spacer #8 (84-004-3891) next to existing spacer.

Replace bolt #7 with 5/8" - 11 x 3-1/2" hex head

capscrew (01-178-1028).

4. Remove drive belts from engine sheaves.

Remove sheaves #6 and washers from the

jackshaft. Install spacer #15 (84-004-4121), one

sheave (01-260-2260) and one bushing

(01-260-0380) on jackshaft. Secure to jackshaft so

there is 1/16" clearance between sheave and idler

arm.

5. Remove sheaves and keys from engine shaft.

Install key #13 (84-004-4111) in engine shaft

keyway. Install sheave #2 (01-260-2250) on

engine shaft. Reinstall sheave #3 on engine

shaft. Align these sheaves with sheave #6.

6. Replace belt #14 with belt #01-264-0960.

Reinstall belt #10 on sheaves #3 and #12.

7. Reinstall sheave #4 and bushing on engine shaft

and align with sheave #5. Reinstall blade drive belt

#11.

8. Reattach pivot assembly #1 to engine and align

sheave #12 with sheaves #3 and #6.

9. Adjust all belt tensions to insure proper

operation.

10. Reinstall belt guard.
