1/4 TINE KIT
For Greens Aerator
1. Adjust coring head depth control capscrews to
.68" on each side (Fig. 1). This will provide a maximum
coring depth of about 2.50" with the 1/4" tines.

.68"
Note: Extending capscrews to provide shallower
cultivation may be desirable under some turf
conditions, however some elongation of the cored hole
may be present.
2. Check Greens Aerator frame to insure machine is
parallel with the ground surface (Fig. 2 & 3). Use height
gauge, Toro part no. 60-9930, supplied with machine.
Adjust tire pressure to obtain desired settings. The
minimum tire pressure for the traction tires is 8 p.s.i.
and 10 p.s.i. for the steering tires.
Note: To minimize soil compaction, it is desirable to
operate at the lowest tire pressure. See Operator's
Manual for additional information.

6. The 1/4 tines may be used with either 3 or 6 tines
installed for each plunger. If 3 tines are selected,
position these inward for best performance.
Note: Position a 5-1/2" x 2-1/2' wooden block under
tines to retain them when tightening locknuts.
