PARKING BRAKE KIT

Model 30188 Traction Unit

Note: Use the chart below to identify parts used for assembly.

Brake assembly

Bolt 3/8–16 x 1-1/4” (32 mm)

Latch plate

Bolt 1/4–20 x 3/4” (19 mm)

Handle

Bolt 5/16–18 x 1-1/2” (38 mm)

Spacer

Spring

Flange locknut 5/16–18

Install parking brake

Install Brake Assembly

1. Remove two bolts and locknuts per side,

securing pivot brackets to frame. Discard bolts

only.

2. Position brake assembly around tank bracket

(Fig. 1). Secure with (4) new 3/8–18 x 1-1/4”

(32 mm) bolts and previously removed 3/8”

locknuts.

Installation Install Latch Plate Install Handle 1. Remove bolts and locknuts securing right pivot bearing to pivot bracket. Discard bolts only. 1. Slide handle down through latch plate and position in channel of brake assembly. 2. Position latch plate over holes and pivot bearing behind plate. Secure with (2) new 1/4–20 x 3/4” (19 mm) bolts and previously removed 1/4” locknuts. (Fig. 2). 2. Place 5/16-18 x 1-1/2” (38 mm) bolt through channel, handle, spacer and spring (Fig. 3). 3.
