Introduction

TheCaliforniaAirResourcesBoard(CARB)andTheToro®Companyarepleasedtoexplaintheevaporativeemissioncontrolsystem’swarrantyon

your2021–2022modelyearequipment.InCalifornia,andotherstates,newequipmentthatusesmall/largeoff-roadsparkignitionenginesmustbe

designed,built,andequippedtomeettheState’sstringentanti-smogstandards.TheToro®Companymustwarranttheevaporativeemissioncontrol

systemonyourequipmentfortheperiodlistedbelowprovidedtherehasbeennoabuse,neglect,orimpropermaintenanceofyourequipmentleadingto

thefailureoftheevaporativeemissioncontrolsystem.

Yourevaporativeemissioncontrolsystemmayincludepartssuchas:fueltanks,fuellines(forliquidfuelandfuelvapors),fuelcaps,controlvalves,

carboncanisters,clamps,andotherassociatedemission-relatedcomponents.

Manufacturer’sWarrantyCoverage:

Thisevaporativeemissioncontrolsystemiswarrantedfor3(three)yearsor2,500hours,whichevercomesrst.Ifanyevaporativeemission-related

partonyourequipmentisdefective,thepartwillberepairedorreplacedbyTheT oro®Company.

Owner’sWarrantyResponsibilities:

Astheequipmentowner,youareresponsibleforperformanceoftherequiredmaintenancelistedinyourOperator'sManual.TheToro®Company

recommendsthatyouretainallreceiptscoveringmaintenanceonyourequipment,butTheToro®Companycannotdenywarrantysolelyforthe

lackofreceipts.

Astheequipmentowner,youshouldbeawarethatTheT oro®Companymaydenyyouwarrantycoverageifyourequipmentoraparthasfaileddueto

abuse,neglect,impropermaintenance,orunapprovedmodications.

YouareresponsibleforpresentingyourequipmenttoaT oro®Companyservicecenterassoonastheproblemexists.Thewarrantyrepairsshould

becompletedinareasonableamountoftime,nottoexceed30days.Ifyouhaveaquestionregardingyourwarrantycoverage,youshouldcontact

TheToro®Companyat1-888-384-9939.

GeneralEvaporativeEmissionsWarrantyCoverage:

TheT oro®Companywarrantstotheultimatepurchaserandeachsubsequentpurchaserthattheequipmentis:

•Designed,built,andcertiedtoconformwithallapplicableemissionsregulations;and

•Identicalinallmaterialrespectstothepartsasdescribedintheapplicationforcertication;and

•Freefromdefectsinmaterialsandworkmanshipthatcouldcausethefailureofawarrantedpart

Thewarrantyperiodbeginsonthedatetheequipmentisdeliveredtoanultimatepurchaser.Thewarrantedperiodis

3(three)yearsor2,500hours,whichevercomesrst.

Subjecttocertainconditionsandexclusionsasstatedbelow,thewarrantyonevaporativeemissions-relatedpartsisasfollows:

1.Anywarrantedpartthatisnotscheduledforreplacementasrequiredmaintenanceinthewritteninstructionssupplied,iswarranted

forthewarrantyperiodstatedabove.Ifthepartfailsduringtheperiodofwarrantycoverage,thepartwillberepairedorreplacedby

TheT oro®Company.Anysuchpartrepairedorreplacedunderwarrantywillbewarrantedfortheremainderofthewarrantyperiod.

2.Anywarrantedpartthatisscheduledonlyforregularinspectioninthewritteninstructionssuppliediswarrantedforthe

warrantyperiodstatedabove.Anysuchpartrepairedorreplacedunderthewarrantywillnotreducetheperiodofwarranty

coverageandwillbewarrantedfortheremainderofthewarrantyperiod.

3.Anywarrantedpartthatisscheduledforreplacementasrequiredmaintenanceinthewritteninstructionssuppliedis

warrantedfortheperiodoftimepriortotherstscheduledreplacementdateforthatpart.Ifthepartfailsbeforetherst

scheduledreplacement,thepartmustberepairedorreplacedbyTheT oro®Company.Anysuchpartrepairedorreplaced

underwarrantywillbewarrantedfortheremainderoftheperioduptotherstscheduledreplacementpointforthepart.

4.Repairorreplacementofanywarrantedpartunderthewarrantyprovisionshereinmustbeperformedatan

AuthorizedServiceDealeratnochargetotheowner.

5.WarrantyservicesorrepairswillbeprovidedatallServiceDealersauthorizedtoservicethesubjectequipment.

6.Theequipmentownerwillnotbechargedfordiagnosticlaborthatisdirectlyassociatedwithdiagnosisofadefective,

emission-relatedwarrantedpart,providedthatsuchdiagnosticworkisperformedatanAuthorizedServiceDealer.

7.TheToro®Companyisliablefordamagestootherengineorequipmentcomponentsproximatelycausedbyafailureunderwarrantyofanywarrantedpart.

8.Throughouttheevaporativeemissioncontrolsystem’swarrantyperiodstatedabove,TheToro®Companywillmaintainasupplyof

warrantedpartssufcienttomeettheexpecteddemandforsuchparts.

9.Manufacturerapprovedreplacementpartsmaybeusedintheperformanceofanywarrantymaintenanceorrepairsand

mustbeprovidedwithoutchargetotheowner.SuchusewillnotreducethewarrantyobligationsofTheT oro®Company.

10.Add-onormodiedpartsthatarenotapprovedbyTheT oro®Companymaynotbeused.Theuseofanon-approved,add-on,ormodiedpartby

thepurchaserwillbegroundsfordisallowingawarrantyclaim.TheT oro®Companywillnotbeliabletowarrantfailuresofwarrantedpartscaused

bytheuseofnon-approved,add-on,ormodiedparts.

WarrantedParts:

TherepairorreplacementofanywarrantedpartotherwiseeligibleforwarrantycoveragemaybeexcludedfromsuchcoverageifTheToro®Company

demonstratesthattheequipmenthasbeenabused,neglected,orimproperlymaintained,andthatsuchabuse,neglect,orimpropermaintenancewasthe

directcauseoftheneedforrepairorreplacementofthepart.Thatnotwithstanding,anyadjustmentofacomponentthathasafactoryinstalled,and

properlyoperating,adjustmentlimitingdeviceisstilleligibleforwarrantycoverage.Thefollowingemissionwarrantypartslistarecovered:

•FuelTank

•Clamps

•FuelCap•ControlValves*

•FuelLines(forliquidfuelandfuelvapors)•CarbonCanister

•FuelLinesFittings

*Astheyrelatetotheinstalledequipmentevaporativecontrolsystem
