Toensurepropercooling,makesurethatthegrassscreen,
coolingns,andotherexternalsurfacesoftheengineare
keptcleanatalltimes.
Cleanthecoolingnsandexternalsurfacesasnecessary.
Makesurethatthecoolingshroudsareinstalled.Torquethe
blowerhousingscrewsto7.5N·m(5.5ft-lb).
Important:Operatingtheenginewithablocked
grassscreen,dirtyorpluggedcoolingns,and/or
coolingshroudsremoved,causesenginedamagedue
tooverheating.

rst)—Replacethein-linefuellter.
Neverinstalladirtylterifitisremovedfromthefuelline.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceanddisengagethe
blade-controlswitch.
2.Ensurethatthebrakeisengaged,shutofftheengine,
removethekey,andwaitforallmovingpartstostop
beforeleavingtheoperatingposition.
