Slowthemachinedownbeforemaking
sharpturns.
Forward
1.Movetheleverstothecenter,unlockedposition.
2.Togoforward,slowlypushthemotioncontrol
leversforward(Figure12).

Toturn,releasethepressureonthemotion
controllevertowardthedirectionyouwanttoturn
(Figure12).
Tostop,pushthemotioncontrolleverstoneutral.
OperatingtheBlades
Thebladecontrolswitch,representedbyapower
take-off(PTO)symbol,engagesanddisengagespower
tothemowerblades.Thisswitchcontrolspowertoany
attachmentsthatdrawpowerfromtheengine,including
themowerdeckandcuttingblades.
EngagingtheBlades
1.Releasepressureonthetractioncontrolleversand
placethemachineinneutral.
2.MovethethrottletotheFastposition.
3.Pulloutonthebladecontrolswitchtoengage
blades(Figure13).

DisengagingtheBlades
PushthebladecontrolswitchtoOfftodisengagethe
blades(Figure13).
StoppingtheMachine
Tostopthemachine,movethetractioncontrollevers
toneutralandseparatetothebrakeposition,disengage
thebladecontrolswitch,ensurethethrottleisinthefast
position,andturntheignitionkeytooff.Rememberto
removethekeyfromtheignitionswitch.
