RemovingtheCollectionChute
Asyouarebagging,asmallamountofgrassclippings
normallyblowoutthefrontofthemower.Anexcessive
amountofclippingsblowingoutandnoaudiblealarm
signallingafullbagmayindicateapluggedchute.
Thecollectionchutecanberemovedtobecleanedand
safelyclearedofanyobstructions.Usethefollowing
proceduretoremoveit:
1.Makesurethecollectionbagisempty.
2.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceanddisengage
thebladecontrolswitch.
3.Movethemotioncontrolleverstothebrake
position,stoptheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.Raisetheoperator’sseat.
4.Movetotherearofthemachineandremovethe
collectionbag.
5.Graspthedischargechuteandremoveasfollows.
Important:Usecautionanddonotuse
excessiveforcewhenremoving/installingthe
chute.“Forcing”thechutecandamageitor
otherinternalcomponents.
A.Pullthechuteoutfromthemachine
approximately6-8inches(15-20cm).
B.Rotatethechuteaquarterturndownwardand
proceedtopullchuteoutfurthertoexposethe
rstbend.
C.Withthebendexposedrotatethechutea
quarterturncounterclockwise.
D.Pullthechuteuntilthekeyisvisible.Linethe
keyinthechutewiththekeyway.
E.Removethechute.
