6.Returntothemachine.Inspecttheinternalengine
compartmentandclearanyclippingsordebris
dislodgedduringchuteremoval.
Debrisbuiltupintheenginecompartment,if
notremoved,couldbeignitedbyahotengine.
Areintheenginecompartmentcouldcan
burnyouandothersandcandamageproperty.
Beforeusingandwhiletheengineiscool,
checkfordebrisintheenginecompartment.
Keepthemachinefreeofgrass,leaves,or
otherdebrisbuild-up.
Cleanupoilorfuelspillageandfuelsoaked
debris.
Allowthemachinetocoolbeforestoring.
ClearingtheCollectionChute
Note:Toavoidpluggingthecollectionsystem,mow
thegrassatahighheightofcut,thenlowerthemower
toyournormalcuttingheightandrepeatthecollection
process.
Removethecollectionchuteandtapitontheground
toremoveanypluggedclippingsordebris.Atthis
time,visuallyinspectthechutetoverifyitisclearand
foranydamage.Ifnecessary,manuallyremoveany
obstructionsfromthechute.
InstallingtheCollectionChute
1.Linethekeyinthechutewiththekeywayinthe
frame
A.Gentlymovethechuteintothemachineuntil
therstbend.
B.Rotatethechuteaquarterturndownwardand
continueinstallingthechuteuntilthesecond
bend.
C.Rotatethechuteaquarterturncounter
clockwiseandcontinuetoinstallthechute.
D.Lookovertheenginehood,andintotheinternal
machine.Alignthekeyinthechutewiththepeg
onthedeckadapter.
E.Slidethechuteoverthedeckadapteruntilthe
chuteseatsinthemachineframe.
