AccessingtheMachine
Someinternalcomponentscanbeaccessedbysimply
raisingtheseat.Usethefollowingprocedurestoaccess
totheinternalcomponentsasneededwhenperforming
themaintenanceproceduresdescribedinthismanual.
RemovingtheEngineHood
Removetheenginehoodtogainaccesstotheengine
compartment.Toremovetheenginehoodthecollection
bagmustbeemptiedandremovedrst.
1.Emptythecollectionbagasdesired.
2.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceanddisengage
thebladecontrolswitch.
3.Movethemotioncontrolleverstothebrakeposition,
stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforall
movingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
4.Graspthecollectionbagatthefrontandrearusing
theplastichandholds.Pivotitupandforwardand
thenliftitoutoftheenginehood.Referto,pagefor
additionalinformation.
Note:Therearaccesspanelcanbeopenedwhen
thecollectionbagisoffthemachine.
5.Removethefastenersretainingtheenginehoodto
themachineframe(Figure24).Retainallparts.

Removethefastenerssecuringtheducttothemachine
frameandretainthefasteners.Lifttheductoutofthe
enginecompartment.Installtheductasitwasremoved.
Usethefastenerstosecuretheducttotheframe.

Therearaccesspanelislocatedonthebackofthe
machineframeandcanbeseenwhenthecollectionbag
isoff.Loosenthefastenerstoremovethepaneland
accesstheenginecomponents(Figure27).Alwaysmake
surethepanelisreplacedandsecuredwiththefasteners
beforeoperatingthemachine.
