2.Placetheaircleanerassemblyontotheaircleaner
baseandinstallthewingnut(Figure31).
3.Installtheaircleanercoverandsecurethelatches
(Figure31).

ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily—Checkthe
engineoillevel.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceanddisengage
thebladecontrol(PTO).
2.Movethemotioncontrolleverstotheparkposition,
stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforall
movingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
3.Removetheenginehoodandengineducttoaccess
theenginecomponents.
4.Cleanaroundtheoildipstick(Figure35)sothatdirt
cannotfallintothellholeanddamagetheengine.
5.Unscrewtheoildipstickandwipetheendclean
(Figure35).

6.Inserttheoildipstickfullyintothetubewithout
screwingitin.Pullthedipstickout,andlookatthe
end.Iftheoillevelislow,slowlypouronlyenough
oilintothellholetoraisethelevelto,butnotover,
theFullmarkonthedipstick.
Important:Donotoverllthecrankcasewith
oilbecausetheenginemaybedamaged.
7.Insertandscrewtheoildipstickfullyintothetube.
ChangingandDrainingtheOil
ServiceInterval:Aftertherst8hours—Changethe
engineoil.
Every100hours—Changetheengine
oil.(moreoftenindusty,dirty
conditions)
1.Starttheengineandletitrununtilwarm.This
warmstheoilsoitdrainsbetter.
2.Parkthemachinesothatthedrainsideisslightly
lowerthantheoppositesidetoensurethattheoil
drainscompletely.
3.Disengagethebladecontrolswitchandsetthe
parkingbrake.
4.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforall
movingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
