DrainingtheFuelTank
ServiceInterval:Beforestorage
Incertainconditions,fuelisextremely
ammableandhighlyexplosive.Areor
explosionfromfuelcanburnyouandothers
andcandamageproperty.
•Drainfuelfromthefueltankwhenthe
engineiscold.Dothisoutdoorsinanopen
area.Wipeupanyfuelthatspills.
•Neversmokewhendrainingfuel,andstay
awayfromanopenameorwhereaspark
mayignitethefuelfumes.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceanddisengage
thebladecontrolswitch.
2.Movethemotioncontrolleverstothebrakeposition,
stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforall
movingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
3.Closethefuelshut-offvalvelocatedunderthefront
ofthefueltank(Figure40).

4.Removetheenginehoodandengineducttoaccess
theenginecomponents.
5.Loosenthehoseclampatthefuellterandslideit
upthefuellineawayfromthefuellter(Figure41).

ReplacingtheFuelFilter
ServiceInterval:Every100hours
Replacethefuellterafterevery100operatinghoursor
yearly,whicheveroccursrst.
Neverinstalladirtylterifitisremovedfromthefuel
line.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceanddisengage
thebladecontrolswitch.
2.Movethemotioncontrolleversoutwardtothe
parkposition,stoptheengine,removethekey,and
waitforallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Closethefuelshut-offvalvelocatedunderthefront
ofthefueltank.
4.Squeezetheendsofthehoseclampstogetherand
slidethemawayfromthelter(Figure41).
5.Removethelterfromthefuellines.
