ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily
Thecollectionsensorsdonotrequireanyscheduled
maintenance,however;intheeventthatthecollection
bagalarmgoesoffandthebagislessthanfull,gently
wipeoffthefacesofthesensorswithasoftcloth.The
clothcanbedampwithwater.
Important:Donotusesolventsorchemicalsof
anykindtocleanthefaceofthesensors.
Whennishedusingthemachine,useasoftclothto
clearawayblockagebetweenthesensors(crustedor
clumpedupgrassclippingsorleaves).
WashingtheUndersideofthe
Mower
ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily
Aftereachuse,washtheundersideofthemowerto
preventgrassbuildupforimprovedmulchactionand
clippingdispersal.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceanddisengage
thebladecontrolswitch.
2.Movethemotioncontrolleverstothebrakeposition,
stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforall
movingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
3.Attachthehosetotheendofthemowerwashout
tting,andturnthewateronhigh(Figure60).
Note:Spreadpetroleumjellyonthewashouttting
O-ringtomakethehoseslideoneasierandprotect
theO-ring.

5.Sitontheseatandstarttheengine.Engagetheblade
controlswitchandletthemowerrunforoneto
threeminutes.
6.Disengagethebladecontrolswitch,stoptheengine,
andremovetheignitionkey.Waitforallmoving
partstostop.
7.Turnthewateroffandremovethehosefromthe
washouttting.
Note:Ifthemowerisnotcleanafteronewashing,
soakitandletitstandfor30minutes.Thenrepeat
theprocess.
8.Runthemoweragainforonetothreeminutesto
removeexcesswater.
Abrokenormissingwashoutttingcould
exposeyouandotherstothrownobjectsor
bladecontact.Contactwithbladeorthrown
debriscancauseinjuryordeath.
Replacebrokenormissingwashouttting
immediately,beforeusingmoweragain.
Pluganyhole(s)inmowerwithboltsand
locknuts.
Neverputyourhandsorfeetunderthe
mowerorthroughopeningsinthemower.
