TIPS FOR USAGE:
U s e r G u i d e
1. While the Torpedo™ is in use, there must always be a cap covering the
beverage dispensing area. In general, when preparing liquid items ensure that
the beverage dispenser is attached and the spout toggle is in the OFF position.
For food items, utilize the stop cap.
2. Use the screens to customize your juice’s pulp. The medium mesh screen allows
more pulp through, while the fine mesh screen limits pulp.
3. When juicing dense items such as apples, beets, carrots, etc., it may be necessary
to add some pure water to the Torpedo™ for a smoother consistency.
4. When juicing with the screens, be sure your water level is over the ingredients
to allow for maximum agitation and aeration.
5. For juicier fruits and vegetables, water may not be necessary. Check the
consistency and modify the ingredients to your liking.
6. While you may think adding ice to your juice will dilute it, you’re actually helping
to control its temperature to prevent oxidation. Otherwise, the Torpedo™ is so
powerful, its speed may increase your juice’s temperature too much, destroying
its nutritional value.
7. In general, to prevent oxidation of your fruits and vegetables, utilize the AUTO
function and don’t blend over one minute.
8. When using milk, always add as the last ingredient for the best consistency.
9. When loading the Torpedo™ with ingredients, always begin with the softest and
wettest items first and moving upward toward the more dense and dry items.
10. Add dry ingredients such as flour last, and always while the machine is
in operation.
11. When using ice, chopped or smaller cubed ice is preferable. Do not add
large chunks.
12. For best ice shaving results, use the PULSE function.
13. The Torpedo™ can withstand temperatures up to 257° F. But, when preparing hot
liquids, be sure not to fill the canister more than half way.
14. The machine should always be running to ensure a strong flow out of the
beverage dispenser.
15. Should your Torpedo™ stop unexpectedly during operation- don’t panic! It’s
a safety feature designed to prevent overheating. Simply remove the canister
from the base and set aside, turn the base over and press the “reset” button on
the top right corner of the base’s bottom side.
