Caution: When preparing hot liquids, be sure to only fill the canister half way
and always remember to use the vented top to allow steam to safely escape!
Broccoli Soup
Makes 2 servings
Tip: The addition of a small
amount of smoked ham adds
a sweet, dusky flavor to this
classic soup.
Variation: You may also
substitute vegetable stock
as a vegetarian option or
for a more subtle flavor.
2 tbsp. butter, softened
2 cups fresh broccoli, chopped
½ medium yellow onion,
peeled and chopped
1 large carrot, peeled and
chopped
2 cups chicken stock
¼ cup diced smoked
ham (optional)
salt and pepper to taste
1. Melt butter over medium heat. Add broccoli, onion and carrots and sauté for
5-7 min., stirring occasionally until the onion is translucent.
2. Add the chicken stock and diced ham (if using) and simmer for about 15 min.
or until the vegetables are tender.
3. Pour hot mixture into the Torpedo™ and lock lid into place. Press ON and allow
mixture to blend for 10 - 15 sec. before serving.
