Add the following:
2 cups water
1 egg
¼ cup cooked crumbled sausage
(reserve pan grease)
½ tsp. sausage grease from pan
½ tsp. apple cider vinegar
salt and pepper to taste
1. In a small saucepan bring 2 cups of water to
a rolling boil over medium high heat.
2. Crack one raw egg over the boiling water and
allow to sit for about 10 sec.-then scramble
the egg through the water. (It will shred and
look like small threads with a few clumps in
the batch- this is perfect!)
3. Add the cooked ground sausage to the
mixture. Turn heat down to medium and
simmer for about 2-3 min.
4. Add the sausage grease and vinegar and
continue to simmer.
5. Next, you’ll want to add the secret gravy
base to the mixture in small batches (stirring
constantly so that lumps do not form in
gravy) until nice and thick.
6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
7. Serve over scrambled eggs and biscuits for
a true southern delight!

Variation: You can also use
cooked crumbled bacon and
bacon grease if you prefer.
Both are tasty!
