If pressing the Ctrl + Alt + Del keys does not work, press the power switch for at least
five seconds.

My computer abruptly turns off.
A
When the interior temperature of your computer exceeds the predefined temperature, the
protective function is activated to automatically shut down the system.
If your computer is hot, move your computer to a cooler place and let your computer cool
down.
If the air vent is blocked, the interior temperature of your computer is likely to rise. Remove
any obstacles blocking the air vent.
If the above actions do not work, contact the nearest maintenance service.
Q
My computer turns off when it is not used for a while.
A
If the Power
LED is lit, the automatic display suspension function may have been
activated. Do not press the power switch. Your computer is powered although the LCD has
gone blank.
Do either of the following:
Press the Shift
or Ctrl key.
Move the Accupoint II.

If the Power
LED is flashing in orange or unlit, your computer may have been
automatically placed on Standby or into Hibernate.
Press the power switch.
To disable the power saving mode, follow the steps below:
(1) Open the [Control Panel] window and click [Performance and Maintenance].
(2) Click [Toshiba Power Saving].
(3) Select desired power saving mode on the [Power Settings] tab and click the
[Advanced] button.
(4) Select [No] for [System Standby] and [System Hibernate] on the [Power Saving]
tab.
(5) Click the [OK] button.
(6) Click the [OK] button on the [Toshiba Power Saving Properties] window.
