? LAN FEATURE
Q
I cannot connect to a network.
A
The network settings may be incorrect.
Check the following:
Windows network settings
Settings for the destination network device (HUB)
Conditions of the cable

The LAN feature may be disabled.
Take either of the following procedures to change the settings.
Method 1 - Using [Network Device Switch]
(For the model with the wireless LAN feature only)
(1) Click [Start] [All Programs] [Network Device Switch] [Network Device
Switch].
(2) Click the [Network Device Switch] icon on the Notification area and click the
device that you want to use in the menu.
The wired LAN feature is displayed as [Realtek RTL8139/810X Family Fast
Ethernet NIC].
The wireless LAN feature is displayed as [Toshiba Wireless LAN Mini PCI Card].
Method 2 - Using [Device Manager]
(1) Open the [Control Panel] and click [Performance and Maintenance].
(2) Click [System].
The [System Properties] window appears.
(3) Click [Device Manager] on the [Hardware] tab.
(4) Double-click [Network Adapters].
The wired LAN feature is displayed as [Realtek RTL8139/810X Family Fast
Ethernet NIC].
The wireless LAN feature is displayed as [Toshiba Wireless LAN Mini PCI Card]
(for the model with the wireless LAN feature only).
Options marked with X (
) on the left are disabled.
Follow the steps below to change the setting.
(5) Right-click the option that you want to use and click [Enable] in the menu.
(6) Close the [Device Manager] window.
(7) Click the [OK] button on the [System Properties] window.
