After setting an input for a specific MODE SELECT button, the TV automatically switches to the input when you press and hold the MODE SELECT button for about 3 seconds and release it.

Chapter 6: Basic features Using 3D functions Incoming video signals can either be in 2D or 3D format. A 2D signal can be viewed in either 2D or 3D, and 3D can be viewed in either 2D or 3D. If the TV can detect the fact that a signal is 3D, it can change to 3D mode automatically – see “3D Auto Start” (-p. 37). Otherwise you can change the viewing mode using the 3D button. Finally, the format of the 3D signal can be either Side by Side (SBS) or Top and Bottom (TAB).

If the edges of the picture are hidden, readjust Horizontal Position and Vertical Position. Chapter 6: Basic features Setting the sleep timer Setting Automatic Power Down You can set the TV to turn off after a specific amount of time (maximum = 12 hours). The TV can be configured to automatically turn itself off after 4 hours if you do not operate the TV either from the remote control or the TV control panel. Chapter 7: Picture and sound controls Selecting the picture size You can view many program formats in several picture sizes—Native, 4:3, Full, TheaterWide 1, TheaterWide 2, TheaterWide 3, Normal, and Dot by Dot. Note: The picture size illustrations are examples only. The format of the image (in any of the picture sizes) depends on the format of the signal you are currently watching. Select the picture size that displays the current program in the way that looks best to you.
Chapter 7: Picture and sound controls Picture Size Native (for 480i (HDMI), 480p (HDMI), 720p, 1080i, and 1080p signal programs) • If receiving a 1080i, 1080p, 720p, 480i (HDMI), or 480p (HDMI) signal program, the video is scaled to display the entire picture within the borders of the screen (i.e. no overscanning). • This is especially useful for external HD sources such as DVHS movies, Video Games, or PC graphics. • None of the picture is hidden.
Chapter 7: Picture and sound controls Scrolling the picture Using the 4:3 Stretch If the edges of the picture are hidden, you can adjust the image’s position. When 4:3 Stretch is activated, the TV displays 4:3 programs as a full-screen picture. Note: • You can adjust the picture position when the picture size is set to TheaterWide 2 or TheaterWide 3. • When viewing DTV, NET TV, or Media Player, this feature is not available. Note: This feature is available when Auto Aspect is set to On.

Edge Enhancer The Edge Enhancer feature lets you adjust the levels for your desired picture settings and achieve a sharper picture. DynaLight™ The DynaLight™ feature automatically strengthens the black coloring of dark areas in the video according to the level of darkness.

Your TV’s audio will sound fuller, richer, and wider. Black box onscreen • The closed caption feature is set to one of the Text modes (T1, T2, T3, or T4). Set the closed caption feature to Off (- p. 42).
Chapter 9: Troubleshooting Remote control problems • Ensure the remote control is set to the correct device mode (- p. 88). • Remove all obstructions between the remote control and the TV. • Replace the remote control’s batteries (- p. 24). • Your TV’s remote control may not operate certain features on your external device. Refer to the owner’s manual for your other device to determine its available features.
Chapter 9: Troubleshooting – Connect with LAN cables, if possible, and check connection stability. – Repeat the wireless network setup procedure and check connection stability. The DMS name is not displayed • The LAN cables, if used, are not connected properly (- p. 23). • The WLAN, if used, is not configured properly. • The network setup on the Server is incorrect. Make sure both the DMS and TV are using the same network type (DHCP/ manual) and have compatible network settings.
Chapter 9: Troubleshooting LED indications The POWER and Service LED lights on the front of the TV indicate the TV’s status, as described below.
