Setting the Auto Input feature Setting the time zone This feature allows you to change TV inputs using the MODE SELECT buttons--TV, CABLE/SAT, DMD, VOR/PVR--on the remote control. Once an input has been set for a specific MODE SELECT button, the TV will automatically switch to the input when you press and hold the MODE SELECT button for 2 seconds. The Time Zone setup will allow you to specify the correct time zone for your region.
Selectingthe Power-OnMode _Viewingthe systemstatus You can select either Power-Saving or Fast mode. • Power-Saving mode keeps power consumption in standby mode to below lW. As a result, it takes a bit longer for the TV to turn on. 1 2 From the SETUP Information. Setting the Channel Tuning Mode This feature allows you to choose how tuning will be handled for analog and digital channels when the TV is in Antenna mode. Note: To use this feature, the ANT/CABLE In must be set to Antenna (_" page 37). The channel tuning mode has three options.
Switching between two channels using SurfLock TM The SurfLock I_ feature temporarily "memorizes" one channel to the _ button, so you can return that channel quickly from any other channel by pressing _.To memorize a channel to the button: 1 2 3 Tune the TV to the channel into the _ button. you want to to program Press and hold _ for about 2 seconds until the message_ "Memorized" a ppears on-screen. Selectingthe picture size You can view many program formats in a variety of picture sizes--Native, 4:3, Full, TheaterWide 1, TheaterWide 2, TheaterWide 3, Normal and Dot by Dot. Note: The "picture size" iflustrations are examples only. The format of the image (in any of the picture sizes) wil! vary depending on the format of the signal you are currently watching. Select the picture size that displays the current program the way that looks best to you.

Digital CCSettings CCSelector You can customize the closed caption display characteristics by changing the background color, opacity, text size, type, edge, and color. You can use the CC and Digital Audio Selectors to temporarily override the default analog caption mode (set in Analog CC Mode) for a particular channel. However, once you change to another analog channel, the closed caption setting will automatically change back to the current Analog CO Mode setting.

Usingthe GameTimer ® Lockingchannels With the Lock feature, you can lock specific channels. The locked channels can only be accessed by entering the PIN. 1 From the SETUP menu, TV Settings highlight and press 69. Press • or • to select Channel Options and press @. The list of channels will appear. 2 You can use the GameTimer to set a time limit for playing a video game (30-120 minutes).
Usingthe PCsettings feature Setting the PCAudio You can view an image from a PC on the TV screen. When a PC is connected to the TV's PC IN terminal, you can use the PC Settings feature to make adjustments to the image. If the edges of the picture are cut off, readjust the Horizontal Position and Vertical Position. If the icture is affected by interference, readjust the Clock hase and Sampling Clock.
Settingthe OnTimer Settingthe SleepTimer You can set the on timer to automatically turn on the TV to a preset channel or input at a preset time.
