• Your TVremote control may not operate certainfeatures
on your externaldevice. Referto the owner's manualfor
your other device to determine its available features. If
your TV remote control does not operate a specific
feature on another device, use the remote control that
came with the device.
• If the TV still does not act as expected, use the Reset
Factory Defaults procedure (_-_--_page 31).
Channel
tuning problems
Make sure the remote control is set to the correct device
mode (_-_--_page23).
The channel may havebeen erased from the channel
memory by the Auto Tuning feature. Add the channel to
the channel memory (_,_ page 28).
The channel may be blocked by the lock feature.
Unblock the channel (_-_--_page 46).
Ifyou are unable to tune digital channels, check the
antenna configuration (__--_page28). If you are still
unable to tune digital channels, clear all channels from
the channel list and reprogram channels into the
channel memory (_-_--_page 28). If you arestill unable to
tune digital channels, use the Reset Factory Defaults
procedu re(_-_-_page 31). Also see"TV stops responding
to controls" and "Other problems" (_-_-_page 59).
Closedcaptionproblems
• If theprogramorvideoyouselectedis notclosed-
captioned,nocaptionswilldisplay.
• If textis notavailable,ablackrectanglemayappear.
If this happens,turn offtheclosedcaptionfeature(_-_--_
page40).
• Aclosed-captionsignalmaynotdisplaycorrectlyinthe
followingsituations:a)whenavideotapehasbeen
dubbed;b)whenthesignalreceptionisweak;orc)
whenthesignalreceptionis nonstandard(_-_-_page40).
Rating blocking (V-Chip) problems
• If you forget your PiNcode: While the PiN codeentering
screen is displayed, press _ four times within 5
seconds. The PIN code you previously stored will be
cleared (_-_--_page 43).
• The V-Chip feature is available for the U.S. V-Chip
system only (_-_-_page 44).
No REGZA-LINK operation
• The REGZA-LINKfeature is available for Toshiba
REGZA-LINKcompatible devices.
• Make sure the HDMI cables with the HDMI Logo
(l,4111:31rlrl!|)are used.
• When the connected REGZA-LINKdevice does not work
correctly after you have changedsettings of the device,
turn off your TVand unplug the power cord, and then
plug and turn on again.
• If several devices are connected, REGZA-LINKfeature
may not operate properly.
• Readthe instruction manual furnished with the
connected REGZA-LINKdevice.
HDMI problems
For HDMI cables
• Make sure the HDMI cables with the HDMI Logo
(ll-41_rl_|) are used (_-_--_page 12).
For Deep Color
• You should need to use High SpeedHDMI cable to work
properly. Normal HDMI cable or DVIcable may not work
with this option (_-_ pages 15 and 51).
For Legacy HDMI source
• Some legacy HDMI sources may notwork properly with
the latest HDMI TV products, due to new standard
adoption. Pleasetry setting the following HDMI Setting
items to Off (Deep Oolor, Lip Sync, INSTAPORTTM) (_-_--_
page 51). Your legacy HDMI source should operate
properly with this TV product.
Media Player problems
• Make sure that devices are connected correctly.
• If you connect a USBdevice with separatecable or
through USB hub, the TV does not recognizethe USB
device.
