Coaxial cable isthe cablethat comes in from yourantenna,cable TVservice,
or cableconverterbox.Coaxialcable uses"F' connectors.
Standard stereoPJV cables usuallycome in setsof three,and are typically
color-coded accordingto use:yellow for video,red for stereoright audio, and
white for stereoleft (or mono)audio. YourTV'sstandardA/V inputs are
color-coded in the same manneras the cables.
S-Video cable is for usewith videoequipmentthat hasS-Videoconnectors.
Component video cablescome in setsof three (typicallycolor-coded red,
green, and blue),and are for usewith video equipmentthat hascomponent
video connectors.YourTV'sColorStream®(componentvideo) inputs are color-
coded in the samemanner asthe cables.
NOTEREGARDINGPICTUREQUALITY
Whenconnectingvideo equipmentto your ToshibaTV:
ForGOOD picturequality: Usea standardyellow videocable.
ForBETTERpicturequality: If your equipment hasS-videoconnectors,use
anS-videocableinstead ofa standardyellow videocable. (Youstill must
connectthe standard red andwhite audio cablesfor full systemconnection,
but do not connecta standardyeiiow videocableat the sametimeor the
picture performancewill beunacceptable.)
ForBESTpicture quality: If your equipment hascomponentvideo
connectors,usecomponentvideocablesinsteadof a standardyellow video
cableor S-videocable. (Youstill mustconnect the standardred and white
audio cablesfor full systemconnection.)

Connecting a VCR
This connection allows you to watch local channels and video
programs, play or record on the VCR while watching _, and record
from one channel while watching another channel.
You will need:
two coaxial cables (one or more may be provided by your cable
company)
one pair of audio cables (one single cable for a mono VCR)
one video cable

Note:
Ifyou have a mono VCR,connect L/Mono to
VCRAudio OUTusing onlyone audio cable.
ffyou have an S-VHS VCR,useanS-video
cable insteadof a standard video cable for
better picture performance.
Do not connect a standard videocable and
anS-video cable to Video-1 (or Video-2_at
the same time or the picture performance will
be unacceptable.
