USB Adaptor
Protection of Stored Data
n Always confirm that all important data has in fact been successfully
copied or transferred, whenever you copy or transfer a file.
n Never store or use the Bluetooth
®
USB Adaptor in any of the following
environments, to prevent possible malfunction and/or loss of stored
data:
• Places subject to extremely high temperatures, (e.g., in direct
sunlight; inside a closed car or trunk on a hot day; or adjacent to any
source of heat).
• Places subject to extremely low temperatures or places subject to
sharp temperature changes, in order to avoid condensation.
• Areas adjacent to strong electromagnetic fields, (e.g., near
loudspeakers).
• Places that may be subject to strong vibrations.
• Dusty areas, places that have a highly chemical atmosphere, or
where contact with chemicals may be possible.
n Never touch Bluetooth
®
USB Adaptor while an application is running, or
while Bluetooth
®
USB Adaptor icon is lit. Failure to follow these
instructions may result in loss of the stored data.
If the Bluetooth
®
USB Adaptor has been exposed to
cold temperatures, always allow it to warm to room
temperature before using it. This will prevent harmful
condensation within the Bluetooth
®
USB Adaptor. This
is particularly important when the Bluetooth
®
USB
Adaptor is being used in cold climates.
Always avoid using the Bluetooth
®
USB Adaptor in
dusty environments, since dust particles can affect the
reliability of the Bluetooth
®
USB Adaptor. Always
contact an authorized Toshiba service provider, if your
Bluetooth
®
USB Adaptor has become contaminated
with dust or dirt particles.
Never use the Bluetooth
®
USB Adaptor in the following
locations: Near a microwave oven where a magnetic
field is generated or places where static electricity or
radio interference is generated. Depending on
environment, radio waves cannot reach to the
Bluetooth
®
USB Adaptor.
Always contact an authorized Toshiba service provider
for assistance, before attempting to use the Bluetooth
®
USB Adaptor again.
