During synchronization:
■ Messages are copied from the Inbox folder on your PC or Exchange
server to the Inbox folder on your device. By default, you'll receive
messages from the last three days only, the first 100 lines of each new
message, and file attachments of less than 100 KB in size.
■ Messages in the Outbox folder on your device are transferred to
Exchange or Outlook and then sent from those programs.
■ The messages on the two computers are linked. When you delete a
message on your device, it's deleted from your PC the next time you
synchronize.
■ Messages in subfolders or other email folders in Outlook are synchro-
nized only if they have been selected for synchronization in Active-
Sync.
Using the Message List
Messages you receive are displayed in the message list. By default, the
most recently received messages are displayed first in the list.
To read your messages:
1. Tap Inbox to select the service and folder you want to display.
2. Tap the message to open. Tap and hold on the message to display a
pop-up menu of actions.
3. Tapping Received Date allows you to sort the messages by ascend-
ing or descending order
4. To connect, send and receive email, tap the Send/Receive icon on
the command bar.
5. To connect to a selected account, tap the Account icon on the com-
mand bar.
To respond to a received message:
1. To reply to or forward the selected email, tap the Reply icon on the
command bar.
2. Tap OK to return to the message list.
Unread messages are displayed in bold. When multiple
messages appear, use the scroll arrows on the command
bar to view the previous or next message.
To delete a message, tap the Delete E-mail icon on the
command bar.
