FUNCTIONS
MANUAL SETUP
1.
On the “INSTALLATION” page, high light “MANU AL
SETUP” and press the “EN TER” button.
2.
Select channel num ber. Be sure you kno w th e
channel n umber and its R F f requenc y. You m ay
refer to Digital TV and Radi o c hannel table in
Appendix 1.
3.
Press “▼” button to highlight “Frequency”,
“Bandwidth” and “Priority” to make s ure the
parameters are correc t, then press “▼” butt on to
highlight “Start Scan” an d press the “ENTER”
button to start s canning.
If scanning is succes sful, “Start Scan” will change t o Get Channel Succes s” and signa l qua lity will be
shown. At th is point you can press “EX IT” to leave “ MANU AL SETUP” or cont inue s canning other ch annels.
If s canning is unsucc essf ul, “Star t Scan” w ill change t o “Timeout Error”. At t his p oint you can rescan
the s ignal or refer to the S IGNAL L EVEL bar and s ignal QU ALITY f or aligning t he direction of the
antenna to get t he signal. R efer to your an tenna installer if problem persists.
Notes:
1. For Australia, t he BANDW IDTH should be 7 MHz.
2. The PRIORIT Y should be set to “HIGH” f or Austra lia.
3. SIGNAL LEVEL refers to the inpu t RF signa l strengt h as perce ived by the rec eiver. Note t hat too
strong a s ignal m ay caus e erroneous r eadings. If you us e an ante nna booster an d find th at you still
get a low signa l level, your booster gain m ay be set to o high. In this c ase, a djust the g ain accord ingly.
You m ay also se e the OS D “Bad or No Signa l” or W eak Signal” when the si gnal leve l is lo w. This
signal-level ind icator is f or referenc e only.
QUALITY refers to the quality of the rec eived d igital s ignal. A high value of qualit y m eans that ther e
are few errors in the signa l. In the s am e way, a low value of qua lity implies that there are a large
number of errors in the sign al, which m ay cause dist ortions in v ideo and aud io.
SNR is the sig nal-to-noise r atio. A high SNR value m eans that you have a r easonabl y go od
reception (good si gnal le vel and goo d qualit y).
RESET DATA
Use this function when you want to clear channel data and reset the pass word to def ault (“0000”).
This function is to be used under any one of the following circumstances:
W hen the “Region Selection” m enu does no t appear o n step 5 of page 24;
W hen moving to another city.

Select “YES” t o restore to d efault data.

The r eceiver wi ll reboo t aut om atically. You will s ee
a m essage “Database Empty” after the boot up
