NOTES ON USE AND INSTALLATION • Do not aim the camera at the sun Do not aim the camera at the sun or point it at sun even if you are not shooting. • Do not shoot intense light Intense light such as a spotlight may cause a bloom or smear. A vertical stripe may appear on the screen. However, this not a malfunction. • Treat the camera with care Do not drop the camera or subject it to strong shock or vibration. Precautions for Use About the SD Memory Card ● There is a limit to the number of rewrites that is possible with the SD memory card. Replacing of the SD memory card when performing periodic maintenance of the camera is recommended. ● The camera supports the following SD memory cards. Important ● When using a lens that weighs 400g or more including a zoom lens, make sure the lens is supported as well as the camera in order not to cause damage due to overloading. Adjusting a Lens Installation/Set up Adjusting the Back Focus The back focus is set by default at the time of shipment. You may have to re-adjust the back focus depending on the type of your zoom lens. Focus Lock Screw FOCUS LOCK Loosen the focus lock screw with the lens properly installed and then turn the back focus ring on top of the camera with the monitor until the subject distance comes into a proper distance scale. After the adjustment, fasten the focus lock screw.
Important ● ● Installation/Set up ● Improper setting with the iris switch and/or incorrect connection with the iris connector may generate heat to the interior of the camera, resulting in a malfunction or failure. When using an auto iris lens, do not select the “AES” setting in order not to cause a malfunction. When adjusting the iris of the auto iris lens, open the iris once under the full light condition. The camera may fail to work properly without sufficient light amounts.

Installation/Set up Connecting Connect a LAN cable and then turn the power on. Connect the LAN cable (straight) leading to the camera with a powered hub. Alternatively, use a LAN cable (crossover) to connect the camera with the powered personal computer. When connecting a PoE compatible hub/router/LAN cable, availabe to the camera even though there is no connection at the power plug. ● When not using a PoE compatible hub, connect AC24V or DC12V power plug with the power plug terminal.
Using the Camera Search Application “Camera Finder” Installation/Set up The camera search application “Camera Finder” is an application that searches for network cameras. Install this application from the supplied mini CD-ROM. ● Setting up “Camera Finder” Insert the supplied mini-CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive of the personal computer. Viewing • Listening and Operation Explore the CD-ROM and double click on “Setup.exe”. Then follow the instructions on the screen to install “Camera Finder.

Click the “User” button to connect to the network camera from “Camera Finder.” ● The browser starts up and then the “Camera Window” screen appears. Recording ● To close the window without logging in Click "Exit" button to close "Camera Finder" Important ● ● Toshiba is not responsible for any damages caused by this software. The “Administrator” button in the “Camera Finder” is invalid for the IK-WB02A.
Changing Administrator Login ID and Password Installation/Set up Be sure to change the default login ID and password. You are able to change important information and settings of the camera through the Administrator Login. To have higher security, be sure to change your login ID and the password, and don’t forget new login ID and password. The default login ID is “root” and the default password is “ikwb”.
- Installation/Set up Enter “root” in the Current login ID field and “ikwb” in the Current Password field. ● Viewing • Listening and Operation Enter a new login ID in the New login ID field and a new password in the New Password field and New Password (Confirm) field. Enter the same password in the New Password field and the New Password (Confirm) field. Click the “Change” button. ● New login ID and password are stored in the network camera. ● The current login operation terminates.
Setting up Access Restriction Installation/Set up You can set up the access restriction by requiring the user to enter the user ID and password for the Administrator login or the registered user ID and password. Click “Configuration” on the left side of the “Camera Window” screen. ● The Configuration menu is displayed on the left side of the screen. Viewing • Listening and Operation Click “User” on the left side of the screen. ● The User Setting menu is displayed on the right side of the screen.
● Installation/Set up Click the “Set/Change” button. New user ID and password for the User login are stored in the network camera. Check “ON” in the “User authorization required” section. Viewing • Listening and Operation Click the “Set” button. ● A screen appears, asking you to enter a user name and password. Recording Setting up Enter the Administrator login ID and password in the field of user name and password, respectively ➝Click the “OK” button. Close the browser.
Configuring the Network Manually Installation/Set up You can change the settings of network connection manually. • Enter an IP address manually if you are not using, or do not want to use the DHCP server. Log in as Administrator. Viewing • Listening and Operation Click “Configuration” on the left side of the “Camera Window” screen. ● The Configuration menu is displayed on the left side of the screen. Click “Network” on the left side of the screen.
Installation/Set up Select “Manually.” ● The default setting is “Automatically by DHCP.” Fill in “IP Address,” “Subnet Mask,” “Default Gateway,” “DNS1” and “DNS2.” Viewing • Listening and Operation Important ● ● If you do not know the subnet mask, consult the provider or network system administration support center. You do not need to enter the default gateway if the network camera will not be accessed from another network.

Search for the network camera with the “Camera Finder” → Log into the camera. ● Flickerless Installation/Set up You can set up the function to reduce the flickering caused by lighting such as fluorescent lights. This function does not work in AES mode. To delete the image you added, select the image you want to delete → Click “Delete a Camera.
Using Playback Function Installation/Set up You can use the playback function to play back recorded images of the alarm list or the normal list in the SD memory card. To perform the operation, you need to log in as Administrator. When you log in as User, the operation is disabled. Click “Playback” on the left side of the “Camera Window” screen. The playback function mode starts and the playback operating buttons, the alarm list and the normal list is displayed.
Playing Alarm Images Installation/Set up You can play alarm images (→ page.40) which are stored on an SD memory card. The images are played at fixed intervals regardless of the recording interval. Speaking Installation/Set up You can connect a microphone to a personal computer and hear the sound through a speaker connected to the camera. To perform the operation, you need to log in as Administrator. When you log in as User, the operation is disabled. Click the “Audio Out start” button below the image. ● The audio out mode starts and sound captured by the microphone connected to the personal computer is heard from the speaker connected to the camera.

About Recording Images Installation/Set up Network camera can record images according to your need. Recordable media and its recordable contents are as follows. Recording Images on an SD Memory Card Installation/Set up You can record image data when an alarm or motion detection occurs, normal recording images on an SD memory card that is inserted in the network camera. To record alarm images. perform administrator login and configure “Alarm Settings” first (➝ page 64), then follow the steps below to configure “Recording Settings”. Recording Settings ● Insert an SD memory card into the SD card slot (➝ page. 5).

Recording Images on FTP Server Installation/Set up By using FTP server, it becomes possible to manage periodic transferring and saving of huge amounts of recorded image data. The recordable images on an FTP server include “Periodic Recording Data by Schedule,” “Recording Data by External Alarm Detection” or “Recording Data by EXT Control.” Record Settings ● The Configuration menu appears on the left side of the screen.

Installation/Set up NOTE • When selecting “Periodic”, network camera logs in to FTP server automatically a minute before the scheduled recording starts. When the scheduled recording stops, there may be some unsent image data left in the camera. The camera will not log out from the FTP server until all images have been transferred. Viewing • Listening and Operation • When not selecting “Periodic,” network camera logs in/out automatically each time an alarm goes off.

Enter a number to configure the interval.
Installation/Set up ■Image Accumulation to SD Memory Card Configures whether or not to save image data on SD memory card when the camera can not record image(s) on FTP server due to network problems. The accumulated data is transferred to the FTP server when the line is restored. 1) Configure whether or not the Image Accumulation is active ● Select “ON” to save image data on SD memory card. Select “OFF” if you do not need to save image data on SD memory card.

However, the camera may take the following processes depending on networking conditions. Recording Images on a Personal Computer You can record images in the JPEG file or AVI file format on a personal computer. ● Setting Sound Installation/Set up You can set up the camera to listen to sound on the camera even when logging in as User. 1) Set “Sound” to “ON” or “OFF.” ON: To enable you to listen to sound on the camera even when logging in as User. (You can configure sound settings in “Audio Settings” (➝ page. 74).) OFF: To disable you to listen to sound on the camera when logging in as User. (“Audio Settings” (➝ page. 74) is not displayed when logging in as User.) 2) Click the “Set” button.
Alarm Settings Installation/Set up You can configure the external alarm and motion detection. If you connect a sensor or other device to the alarm input terminal (➝ page 80), an alarm will notify you when the sensor detects anything out of the ordinary. For example, if you connect a sensor attached to a door, an alarm can notify you when the door is opened or closed. If you set the function of the “Motion Detect” to “Enable”, an alarm will notify you when a change is detected.

Network Settings You can configure an IP address for network connection. You do not need to enter the default gateway if the network camera will not be accessed from another network.
Mail Settings Installation/Set up You can configure the camera to send an email up to 10 addresses when an external alarm goes off, any motions are detected or an error occurs in an SD memory card. Click “Configuration” on the left side of the “Camera Window” screen. • The Configuration menu appears on the left side of the screen. FTP Client Settings You can store images on an FTP server. Audio Settings Installation/Set up You can configure the audio input from the network camera. When setting to “ON” in “Sound” of the Admin Settings, the audio settings can be available even when logging in as User. When “OFF” is selected, the setting cannot be configured through the User login. Updating the Firmware Follow the procedures below to update the firmware. Installation/Set up • When updating the firmware, all the settings are reset except IP addresses. Make sure to back up the settings of the camera before starting update operation (→ page. 77). • When the update operation is completed, import the setting data from your personal computer (→ page. 78). ■ Before Starting Download the latest firmware.
