Pre-installation Checks To install the software supplied on the CD-ROM, your personal computer must conform to the system requirements in the table below. Getting Ready Using the USB Cable (Windows 98/2000/ME) To enable importing of images on the PDR-M11 to your personal computer, the PDR-M11 must be connected to your personal computer by USB cable (provided). When you connect the PDR-M11 to your personal computer by USB cable, the connection can only be made with both the PDR-M11 and your personal computer turned ON. The PDR-M11 Mode Dial must be turned to the PC Connection Setting for the computer to recognize the camera USB connection.

Getting Ready Using the Floppy Disk Adapter (Windows 98/2000/ME) You can use a sold separately floppy disk adapter (FlashPath) to import images stored on SmartMedia™ to your personal computer from the floppy disk drive. The floppy disk adapter is a 3.5" adapter for SmartMedia™ that is to be inserted into the floppy disc drive on your personal computer.

FlashPath JPEG images taken with another camera or stored under a different folder name can also be downloaded using this method. This can be done by adding the name of the folder where the images are stored in the removable storage device to the “Search Path for Removable Media” within the “Connection Settings”.
Using the Floppy Disk Adapter (Windows 98/2000/ME) (continued) Getting Ready Starting Up Camio Viewer and Importing Images In Windows, you can also start up Camio Viewer to import images. Perform steps 1 to 5 of “Starting Up Image Expert and Importing Images” (P. 16 to P. 17). Double-click the icon on the task bar. Using the PC Card Adapter (Windows 98/2000/ME) Starting Up Image Expert and Importing Images Getting Ready You can use a sold separately PC Card Adapter to quickly import images stored on SmartMedia™ into your personal computer from the PC Card. Either select an album, or enter a new album name and click Open, all images are downloaded to the selected album. When downloading is completed, the screen on the right appears asking you whether or not to delete all pictures in the camera. To delete all pictures, click Yes. To leave all pictures as they are, click No.
Using the PC Card Adapter (Windows 98/2000/ME) (continued) Starting Up Camio Viewer and Importing Images Insert the PC Card Adapter into the PC Card slot on your personal computer. If the PC Card Adapter is correctly inserted, a tone sounds to indicate that your personal computer recognizes the PC Card. The Camio Viewer Startup Options screen appears when the Camio Viewer applet (the small camera icon on the Windows task bar) recognizes that the PC Card Adapter is inserted.

If you double-click one of the images, the Select Album screen appears. In this screen, you can select the album to download the image to or create a new album. Clicking Open transfers the images to the album.
Getting Ready Button Functions • New Album button ( ) This button displays the New Album screen. When you create a new album name, a window opens so that you can add images. • Open Album button ( ) This button displays the Open Album screen. It allows you to open any specific album from the albums currently saved on your personal computer. You can also easily browse albums on other drives or devices connected on a network.
Button Functions (continued) When Using Windows • Crop button ( ) This button allows you to trim unwanted parts of an image and leave only the required part. This is called “cropping.” First, open the image you want to edit using the Open Album or Open Image buttons. To select the required part of the image, drag across the image using the drawing tool (Select Rectangle, Select Ellipse, Select Freehand). The area you selected will be indicated by a dotted frame.
Getting Ready Pasting Images to Other Applications (Windows) If you have another application that is OLE-compatible, you can easily paste images in the Image Expert and Camio Viewer album’s into that application by dragging-and-dropping them. If you double-click the image pasted into the OLE-compatible application, the application will be replaced with the Image Expert menu bar and tool bar, and you can correct the image.
How to Access the Service and Support You can use the supplied CD-ROM to access the Toshiba web site for frequently asked questions, firmware upgrades on application models, service and support, and more. Préparatifs Utilisation du câble USB (Windows 98/2000/ME) Pour pouvoir importer les images prises avec le PDR-M11 sur votre ordinateur, le PDR-M11 doit être raccordé à l’ordinateur au moyen d’un câble USB (fourni). Lorsque vous raccordez le PDR-M11 à votre ordinateur avec le câble USB, le branchement peut être effectué seulement quand le PDR-M11 et votre ordinateur sont tous les deux SOUS TENSION.
Utilisation du câble USB (Windows 98/2000/ME) (suite) Réglez la molette de modes sur [ ]. L’écran “Assistant Ajout de nouveau matériel” apparaît. Préparatifs ☞ Installation du pilote USB ➲ P.11 Avec Windows Effectuez l’opération suivante après avoir démarré Windows 98/2000/ME. Si c’est la première fois que vous importez une image avec le câble USB, l’écran “Assistant Ajout de nouveau matériel” apparaîtra. Fermez l’écran “Assistant Ajout de nouveau matériel”, puis installez le pilote USB.

Préparatifs Utilisation de l’adaptateur de disquette (Windows 98/2000/ME) L’emploi d’un adaptateur de disquette vendu séparément (FlashPath) vous permettra d’importer les images stockées sur le SmartMedia™ sur votre ordinateur par le lecteur de disquette. L’adaptateur de disquette est un adaptateur 3,5 pouces pour SmartMedia™ qui peut être inséré dans le lecteur de disquette de votre ordinateur.

Effectuez les étapes 1 à 5 de “Démarrage de Image Expert et importation d’images” (P.16 à P.17). Opérations dans Image Expert Avec Windows Double-cliquez sur l’icône dans la barre de tâches.
Utilisation de l’adaptateur de carte PC (Windows 98/2000/ME) Démarrage de Image Expert et importation d’images Préparatifs L’emploi d’un adaptateur de carte PC vendu séparément vous permettra d’importer rapidement les images stockées sur le SmartMedia™ sur votre ordinateur par la carte PC. L’adaptateur de carte PC est un adaptateur pour SmartMedia™ qui peut être inséré dans le logement de carte PC de votre ordinateur.
Utilisation de l’adaptateur de carte PC (Windows 98/2000/ME) (suite) Lorsque l’importation est terminée, l’écran de droite vous demandant si vous voulez supprimer ou non toutes les images enregistrées sur la caméra apparaîtra. Pour supprimer toutes les images, cliquez sur Oui. Pour laisser toutes les images, cliquez sur Non. , les images que contient le SmartMedia™ apparaissent.
Utilisation de l’adaptateur de carte PC (Windows 98/2000/ME) (suite) Démarrage de Camio Viewer et Importation d’images Insérez l’adaptateur de carte PC dans le logement de carte PC de votre ordinateur. Si l’adaptateur de carte PC est correctement inséré, un son vous signalera que l’ordinateur a reconnu la carte PC.
Changement des paramètres de Camio Viewer Opérations dans Image Expert Avec Windows Préparatifs Vous pouvez changer les paramètres de Camio Viewer en cliquant à la droite de la souris sur l’icône barre de tâches de Windows et en sélectionnant “Options…” sur le menu déroulant. dans la Adaptateur de disquette (vendu séparément: FlashPath) Afficher les images dans FlashPath Les images stockées dans l’appareil photo PDR-M11 sont affichées sur l’écran sans être importées sur le disque dur de l’ordinateur.

Lorsque vous double-cliquez sur une des images, l’écran Sélectionner album apparaît. Sur cet écran vous pouvez sélectionner l’album où l’image sera transférée ou créer un nouvel album.
Fonctions des boutons Préparatifs • Bouton Nouvel album ( ) Ce bouton affiche l’écran Nouvel Album. Lorsque vous créez un nouveau nom d’album, une fenêtre s’ouvre où vous pouvez ajouter des images. • Bouton Ouvre l’album ( ) Ce bouton affiche l’écran Ouvre l’album. Il vous permet d’ouvrir un album particulier parmi les albums actuellement sauvegardés sur l’ordinateur. Vous pouvez parcourir facilement les albums sur d’autres lecteurs ou sur les périphériques raccordés à un réseau.
Fonctions des boutons (suite) Avec Windows • Bouton Rogner ( ) Ce bouton permet de couper certaines parties de l’image et de laisser la partie souhaitée seulement. C’est ce qu’on appelle “Rogner”. Ouvrez d’abord l’image que vous voulez éditer en utilisant les boutons Ouvre l’album ou Ouvrir. Pour sélectionner une partie de l’image, utilisez les outils de dessin (Sélectionner rectangle, Sélectionner ellipse, Sélectionner forme libre) pour encadrer la partie souhaitée.
Préparatifs Collage d’images sur d’autres applications (Windows) Si vous avez une autre application compatible OLE, vous pourrez coller sans problèmes les images des albums Image Expert et Camio Viewer dans une autre application en les tirant et déposant. Si vous double-cliquez sur l’image collée dans l’application compatible OLE, l’application sera remplacée par la barre de menu et la barre d’outils de Image Expert et vous pourrez corriger l’image.
Comment accéder à Service et Aide Vous pouvez utiliser le CD-ROM fourni afin d’avoir accès au Site Web de Toshiba pour poser des questions fréquemment, pour la mise à jour du microprogramme, pour service, aide et d’autres. L’écran de sélection de la langue des affichages apparaît. Cliquez sur “Français”. Préparatifs Insérez le CD-ROM fourni avec l’application dans le lecteur de CD-ROM. Über dieses Programm • Image Expert Dieses Programm ermöglicht das Bearbeiten und Drucken von Standbildern. • USB-Treiber Diesen Treiber installieren, wenn Bilder über die USB-Buchse des Computers eingelesen werden. Diesen Treiber zur Verwendung der USB-Programmapplikation (CD-ROM) installieren. Prüfung vor der Installation Zum Installieren der mitgelieferten Software von der CD-ROM muß der PC den in der untenstehenden Tabelle angegebenen Systemanforderungen gerecht werden. Vorbereitung Verwendung von USB-Kabel (Windows 98/2000/ME) Zum Einlesen von Bildern von der Digitalkamera PDR-M11 zum PC muß die PDR-M11 mit einem USB-Kabel (mitgeliefert) an den PC angeschlossen werden. Beim Anschließen der Digitalkamera PDR-M11 an den PC mit einem USB-Kabel muß sowohl die PDR-M11 als auch der Computer eingeschaltet sein. Das Modus-Wählrad der PDR-M11 muß auf PC-Verbindung für den Computer gestellt sein, um die Kamera-USB-Verbindung erkennen zu können.

Vorbereitung Verwendung des Diskettenadapters (Windows 98/2000/ME) Mit Hilfe des getrennt erhältlichen Diskettenadapters (FlashPath) für die SmartMedia™-Karte können Bilder von der Digitalkamera über den Diskettenadapter in den Computer eingelesen werden. Hierzu das Symbol rechts anklicken und danach auf dem Pop-up-Menü “Optionen...” wählen. auf der Tool-Leiste von Windows Diskettenadapter (getrennt erhältlich: FlashPath) Bilder in FlashPath anzeigen Die in der Digitalkamera PDR-M11 gespeicherten Bilder werden — ohne Herunterladen auf die Festplatte des PCs — auf dem Schirm angezeigt.

Vorgänge in Image Expert Bei Verwendung von Windows Vorbereitung Funktion der Schaltflächen • Neues Album ( ) Diese Schaltfläche dient zum Abrufen des “Neues Album”-Bildes. Bei Eingeben eines neue Albumnamens erscheint ein Fenster, so daß neue Bilder hinzugefügt werden können. • Album öffnen ( ) Diese Schaltfläche dient zum Abrufen des “Öffnen Album”-Bildes. Durch Anklicken dieser Schaltfläche kann unter den Alben, die gegenwärtig im PC gespeichert sind, ein gewünschtes Album geöffnet werden.
Funktion der Schaltflächen (Fortsetzung) 24-26 M11soft-G 25 01.6.22, 4:24 PM Vorgänge in Image Expert - 25 - Bei Verwendung von Windows • Zuschneiden ( ) Mit Hilfe dieser Schaltfläche können ungewünschte Bildabschnitte weggeschnitten werden, bis nur noch der gewünschte Teil eines Bilds übrig bleibt. Dieser Vorgang nennt sich “Zuschneiden”. Zuerst das zu stutzende Bild mit der Schaltfläche [Öffnen Album] oder [Öffnen Bild] abrufen.
Vorbereitung Einfügen von Bildern in andere Applikationen (Windows) Bilder in Image Expert- und Camio Viewer-Album können mit der Drag & Drop-Funktion problemlos in andere OLEkompatible Applikationen eingefügt werden. Durch Doppelklicken eines Bildes, das in eine OLE-kompatible Applikation eingefügt wurde, wird die Applikation durch die Menüleiste und die Tool-Leiste von Image Expert ersetzt. Anschließend kann das Bild korrigiert werden.
