TOSHIBA IP Phone

for Pocket PC

You can use TOSHIBA IP Phone for Pocket PC in the two ways:

• Peer-to-Peer Communications (P2P Communications)

• Communications with Gphone Buddy Service

For P2P Communications, you can call an IP Phone in the following ways:

• IP address

• Device name

You need to sign up prior to using the Gphone Buddy Service. Sign-up

page of Gphone Buddy Service at http://www.gphoneonline.com.

TOSHIBA IP Phone for Pocket PC allows you to:

• Call an IP phone

• Use answering machine functions

• Send and receive instant messages while talking

• Check your buddies' current status (online, offline, busy, or away) *

• Notify your buddies of your current status (online, offline, busy, or

away) *

This chapter is valid for the Toshiba Pocket PC e830W

model only.

You can set or confirm the Device name of your Pocket

PC e830 by tapping , Settings, System, About, then

Device ID.

You can communicate using the Device name under the

following conditions:

• A calling party and a called party are on a same

subnet.

• The Device name is unique on a subnet.
