Instant messaging (IM)
While you connect to another Toshiba VoIP, you can send and receive instant message
each other.
To start instant messaging:
1) Call another Toshiba VoIP user and wait to have the call answered.
2) Press Menu > Send Instant Msg after the call is connected.
3) Type your message in the second text box from the top.
4) Press Send button if you send your message.
All the messages including yours are displayed in the first message box from the top.
Change your current status by using presence service
You can notify your buddies of your current status.
Choose your current status (offline, online, busy or away) after pressing Menu > Change
My Status.
Configuring Toshiba VoIP for Smartphone
Press Menu > Configure Options
Enter your user name, password, server ip, and server port. In addition, if two or more
network adapters are shown, designate a network adapter to use.
If you check “Automatic answer” box, Toshiba VoIP answers a call automatically after
answering timer has expired. Your calling party can record his/her voice message after
hearing answering message.
Troubleshooting
Wrong User Name or Password
Make sure you set your user name or password properly.
Cannot call an VoIP
Make sure you log on to SIP Server.
Check contact information in your buddy list.
Confirm your party’s status is not offline.
Cannot call a phone
Make sure you log on to SIP Server. If you log on to it properly, your status (Online,
Offline, Busy, or Away) is shown.
You cannot hear your party’s voice
Check speaker volume on your Smartphone.
Your party cannot hear your voice
Check microphone volume on your Smartphone.
Make sure muting microphone is not activated.
7.13 SIM Manager
SIM manager enables you to copy your contacts’ information from phone to SIM card or
from SIM card to phone.
