Changing accessibility settings
1. On the Home screen, click Start > Settings > More > Accessibility .
2. Select your preference for the following:
• System font size to set the size of the font that is displayed on the screen.
• Multipress time out to set the length of time between keypresses when entering text in
Multipress mode.
• Confirmation time out to set the delay before an unconfirmed action times out.
• In-call alert volume to set the volume of sounds that play when you are in a call.
3. Click Done.
Note: The format of the time(*) is dependent on the time format setup in your phone
settings under Regional Settings, i.e. 24-hour format or hh:mm:ss AM or PM
Changing regional settings
You can specify the language, locale, date and time format, as well as number and
currency formatting options.
1. On the Home screen, click
Start > Settings > More > Regional Settings .
2. In Language, select your preferred language.
3. In Locale, select the locale for the language you selected. The locale option
automatically changes the format of the remaining options (such as date, time, and
currency) according to the locale you specify.
4. Click Done.
Note: The phone automatically warns you that the phone must be powered off and on
again for the changes to take effect.
Changing power management settings
You can use Power Management to check the battery and configure settings that prolong
battery life.
1. On the Home screen, click Start > Settings > Power Management.
2. Adjust the following:
• In Backlight time out on battery , select the amount of time for the phone to be idle
before the backlight turns off.
• In Backlight time out on AC , select the amount of time for the phone to be idle before
the backlight turns off when using AC power.
• In Display time out , select the number of minutes for the phone to be idle before the
screen turns off.
3. Click Done.
Main battery indicates the amount of battery life remaining.
