Some DVD discs may not have a region code label even though their playback is prohibited by area limits.

Special Menu Options Closed Captions Closed captioning is a process which converts the audio portion of a television program into written words which then appear as subtitles on the television screen. Closed captions allow viewers to read the dialogue and narration of television programs. Using Closed Captions FOLLOW ME • TV Operation Captions are the subtitles of the dialogue and narration of television programs. For prerecorded programs, program dialogue can be arranged into captions in advance.

Most television programs and television movies can be blocked by TV Rating and/or Individual Categories. Movies that have been shown at the theaters or direct-to-video movies use the Movie Rating System (MPAA) only.
