Removing the Pedestal Stand 1) Carefully lay the front of the TV face down on a flat, cushioned surface such as a quilt or blanket. Leave the stand protruding over the edge of the surface. Note: Extreme care should always be used when removing the pedestal stand to avoid damage to the LCD panel. 2) Remove the four screws shown in the below diagram. This will allow removal of the pedestal stand.

Chapter 3: Using the remote control Preparing the remote control for use The remote control can operate your LCD TV / DVD combination and control the basic functions of connected audio/video devices if you connect a REGZA-LINK® compatible audio receiver or playback device ( page 50). Installing the remote control batteries 1 Open the battery lid at the bottom of remote controller. Push! 2 Insert the batteries, corresponding to the (+) and (-) markings on the battery compartment.

MTS also can transmit a second audio program (SAP) containing a second language, music or other audio information (when provided by individual stations). When the TV receives a stereo or SAP broadcast, the symbol “ ” or word “SAP” appears onscreen when is pressed.

Using Dynamic Contrast Dynamic Contrast detects changes in picture quality that affect the appearance of your contrast settings and then automatically adjusts the video.
Chapter 7: Using the TV’s advanced features Using CableClear® digital Noise Reduction The CableClear® digital Noise Reduction feature allows you to reduce visible interference in your TV picture. This may be useful when receiving a broadcast with a weak signal (especially a Cable channel) or playing a noisy video cassette or disc. To change the CableClear settings: 1 Press and open the Picture menu, highlight Noise Reduction and press . 2 In the CableClear field, select your desired setting.
Chapter 8: Basic disc playback Disc playback This section shows you the basics on how to play a disc. Basic playback (DVD/VCD/CD)* 1 2 3 Press POWER on the TV control panel or on the remote control. The Power LED on the front of the LCD TV / DVD combination changes to green. It may take approximately 10 seconds for a picture to appear on-screen. When using an amplifier, switch on the amplifier. Press TV/DVD on the remote control to switch to DVD mode. The DVD start-up screen will appear on-screen.
Chapter 8: Basic disc playback • In some instances the LCD TV / DVD combination may take a minute or so to start disc playback. • When you load a disc with the playback side facing backward, “Reading” appears on-screen but it will be replaced by “Incorrect Disc”. Eject the disc and load it again making sure the playback side is now facing forward. • The playback resume function may not work on some discs. • Some DVDs may have fixed playback operations designed by the DVD manufacturer.
Chapter 9: Advanced disc playback Zoom function/Scene navigation You can change the viewing scale of a picture by using the Zoom function. Once the image has been rescaled, use the arrow buttons STW X to pan the image. Scene navigation options differ depending on the kind of disc. DVDs use the title, chapter or record time to locate the start point for playback. Audio CDs and Video CDs use the record time or track number. To view the discs title/track or chapter/ track list, press .
Chapter 9: Advanced disc playback Scene bookmark Repeat playback/A-B repeat Scene bookmarks refer to specific points in the playback range that have been marked for later access. You can create up to three markers per disc. Note: The saved scene bookmarks are only accessible during the current session. Once you eject the disc or turn off the LCD TV / DVD combination, all bookmarks will be cleared. You can choose to repeat DVD playback by title or chapter.
Chapter 9: Advanced disc playback Enabling A-B repeat mode (DVD/VCD/ CD) 1 During playback, press at the point where you would like the playback loop to begin. This sets your “A” point. To create the MP3/ WMA/ JPEG disc, you need a Windows PC with a CD-RW drive and file encoding software. You must use a Windows PC to create the MP3/WMA/JPEG disc. This LCD TV / DVD combination requires discs/recordings that meet certain technical standards in order to achieve optimal playback quality.

If there are multiple JPEG files in the selected directory, you can view them in a slide show. For instructions on how to enable the slide show feature and set the interval period between pictures, go to page 69.
Chapter 9: Advanced disc playback MP3, WMA, JPEG and Audio CD playback modes Enabling random playback (CD) 1 You can choose to repeat CD playback by track or the entire disc. You can also program the file playback sequence or set the LCD TV / DVD combination to play files at random. Note: These playback modes are only applicable during the current session. Once you eject the disc or turn off the LCD TV / DVD combination, these modes will be disabled.

Removing the Pedestal Stand 1) Carefully lay the front of the TV face down on a flat, cushioned surface such as a quilt or blanket. Leave the stand protruding over the edge of the surface. Note: Extreme care should always be used when removing the pedestal stand to avoid damage to the LCD panel. 2) Remove the four screws shown in the below diagram. This will allow removal of the pedestal stand.
