1. INTRODUCTION Thank you for choosing the USB 2.0 Port Replicator II. It offers a simple, flexible and highly scalable connectivity solution between the PC and any USB 1.0/1.1/2.0 compliant device. The USB 2.0 Port Replicator II adds: 4 USB 2.0 ports; 2 PS/2 ports; 1 RS232 serial port and 1 USB 2.0 LAN port that supports 10/100 Mbps transfer rates. The USB 2.0 Port Replicator II can connect the latest higher performance USB 2.
LED INDICATOR DESCRIPTION ◎ GOOD-LINK STATUS - When the USB 2.0 Port Replicator II connects to a Desktop PC or notebook, all of the LED indicators will turn on (except the “10/100M Link” LED, which only turns on if Ethernet is plugged in). ◎ POWER LED indicator - When just the power adapter plugs into the USB 2.0 Port Replicator II, the POWER LED indicator and PS/2 LED will turn on. ◎ ETHERNET LED indicator - When there is an Ethernet link, the LAN LED indicator will turn red.
2. Driver Installation Windows 2000/XP Step 1 ◎ Insert the Driver CD into the CD-ROM drive and the Driver Installation will start automatically. If not: ◎ Double click “My Computer”, then double click the CD-ROM Drive, Driver installation will start automatically if not double click the “Driver” Folder and double click “setup.exe”. Step 2 ◎ Select the language to continue. Step 3 ◎ Click “Next” to continue.
Step 4 ◎ Click “Next” to continue. Step 5 ◎ Click “Yes” and click “Finish”.

Making Sure Installation Was Successful Windows 2000/XP ◎ To make sure you have installed the USB 2.0 Port Replicator II successfully, please move the cursor to “My computer” à “Control Panel” à “System” à “Hardware” à “Device Manager”. ◎ Double clicking the “Human Interface Devices”; will show the “HID-compliant device x 2 and “USB Human Interface” x 2. ◎ Double clicking the “Keyboards”; will show the “HID- keyboard Device”.
4. Removing Drivers Windows 2000/XP Step 1 ◎ - Start menu: Please click “Start” → “Control Panel” → “Add or Remove Programs”. (Windows XP only) - Classic start menu: Please click “Start” → “Settings” → “Control Panel” → “Add or Remove Programs”. (Windows 2000/XP only) ◎ Select “USB 2.0 Port Replicator II” item. ◎ Click “Change/Remove” button. Step 2 ◎ Click “OK” to continue.
Step 3 ◎ Click “Finish” to complete the driver uninstall.
