RECORDING A TV PROGRAMME

To turn “ON” the TV/VCR, press ON/STANDBY.
Press TV/VCR to select TV/VCR mode.
Load a cassette tape with the
erase prevention tab intact.

Press SP/LP to select the desired tape speed SP or LP.

Press Direct channel selec-
tion or CH/PAGE
or to
select the channel to be
recorded (Example: Channel 2).

the REC indicator will light.
While the unit is recording the
one programme, another
programme can be seen on
this unit. After the recording,
select the TV channel you
want to watch
.
NOTES:
If the power is switched off during re
cording by ON/STANDBY, the TV
section shuts off and the VTR section
continues to record.
AUTO REWIND FEATURE:
This feature is disabled during OTR
and TIMER REC.
If the tab has been removed, the tape
will eject whenever
REC is
pressed.
RECORDING ONE PROGRAMME WHILE WATCH-
ING ANOTHER
TO STOP RECORDING TEMPORARILY
Press (PAUSE/STILL) to stop recording of unwanted
material. “ ” will appear on the screen and the REC
indicator will blink on and off.
Press again to continue the recording.
To prevent damage to the video head and video tape the
pause function will stop the VCR operation after about 5
minutes.
NOTE:
TO STOP RECORDING
Press (STOP) to stop recording. “ ” will appear on
the screen.
