If the water does not fl ow due to a power failure (when water failure hasn't occurred)

You can clean the toilet bowl with the hand lever.
* If a power failure has not occurred, the hand lever will not fl ush the toilet bowl.

Open the cover located at the back of
the top unit.

Dismount the hand lever from the
plate and pull until it stops.
(Hold about 30 sec.)

The water in the toilet bowl rises.

never spill over.

When an electronic "beep" is heard
and water supply stops, loosen the
hand lever.

The toilet fl ushes.

* If the hand lever is loosened after or while cleaning the toilet bowl, the toilet bowl will not fl ush for about 60 sec.
Wait at least 60 sec. before cleaning the toilet bowl again.

Reinstall the hand lever of the toilet
bowl cleaning lever on the plate, close
the cover.

When the water supply is restored, be sure to perform a fl ush.
(To prevent waste from remaining in the drain pipe.)

The toilet can also be fl ushed with a bucket of water during power failure. (Page 52)
