Dry thoroughly. Do not use abrasive cleaners. Wash the cooker accessories in warm, soapy water before first use. Rinse and dry thoroughly and wipe the inside of the steam body with a damp cloth. Make sure crumb tray is pushed all the way into the back of the toaster and the toasting levers are in the UP position.
5 - Using Your Appliance Automatic Centring Guides: Lowering the toasting levers closes the centring guides and holds the bread or toaster food centrally in the toasting slots. NOTE: The toasting lever will not lock down unless the toaster is plugged into an electrical outlet. Toasting 1. Remove the crumb tray and empty over a bin. There may be food debris caught in the heating element. Check inside and gently pry the crumbs out. Why won’t my toast pop up after toasting is complete? Your bread may be too floppy/soft. Try using a bread that is slightly thicker or less pliable.
