Configure the Router in Wireless Router Mode
4. 13. IP & MAC Binding
IP & MAC Binding, namely, ARP (Address Resolution Protocol) Binding, is used to bind
a network device’s IP address to its MAC address. This will prevent ARP spoofing and
other ARP attacks by denying network access to a device with a matching IP address in
the ARP list, but with an unrecognized MAC address.
4. 13. 1. Binding Settings
1. Visit http://tplinkwifi.net, and log in with the username and password you set for the
router.
2. Go to IP & MAC Binding > Binding Settings.
3. Select Enable for ARP Binding and click Save.
¾ To add IP & MAC Binding entries:
1. Click Add New.
2. Enter the MAC address and IP address.
3. Tick the Bind checkbox and click Save.
¾ To modify or delete an existing entry:
1. Select the desired entry in the table.
2. Click Edit or Delete Selected.
4. 13. 2. ARP List
To manage a device, you can observe the device on the LAN by checking its MAC
address and IP address on the ARP list, and you can also configure the items. This page
displays the ARP list which shows all the existing IP & MAC Binding entries.
