IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read all instructions.
Do not operate the flashlight if it has been damaged.
The OPTI-PRO Max must be fully charged before first use.
CAUTION: Use only the battery charger packed with the flashlight.
Do not attempt to use the charger to recharge any other product.
Use only the 127568 battery (see Replacement Parts).
The OPTI-PRO Max is not approved for use in hazardous atmospheres.
Do not attempt to use it in areas requiring explosion-proof lighting.
Never use this flashlight in any manner not specified in these instructions
because your protection may be impaired.
CHARGING AND USE
The OPTI-PRO Max flashlight comes equipped with a battery charger available
in several different voltages. See Replacement Parts.
Fully charge the battery before first use.
• Place the battery in the battery charger cradle. The light on the battery charger will
show green when charged, and red when the battery is low.
A full charge will take approximately four hours.
Turn the knob on the bottom of the flashlight to open the battery compartment.
Insert the Li-ion battery, positive end down, and close the compartment.
• The flashlight will operate for up to four hours on a fully charged battery.
Press the switch to light and use the OPTI-PRO Max.
CARE AND USE OF LITHIUM-ION (Li-ion) BATTERIES
• Do not allow Li-ion batteries to fully discharge frequently, since this will put a strain
on the batteries. They will work more efficiently on multiple partial discharges
through regular use (every 2-3 weeks), and frequent recharges.
The batteries may be left in the battery cradle after charging. The charger
automatically cuts the charge when the charge is full.
• Remove the battery from the lamp and store it separately. Before prolonged
storage (30 days or more), charge the battery for at least two hours. Store partially
charged for best results.
Store in a fairly cool environment away from sunlight, heat and humidity. Store
the battery at temperatures between 5 °C and 20 °C (41 °F and 68 °F).
NOTE: The battery self-discharges during storage. Higher temperatures (above
20 °C or 68 °F) will reduce the battery storage life.
Lithium-Ion batteries are subject to disposal and recycling regulations that vary
by country and region. Always check and follow your applicable regulations
before disposing of any battery.
WARNING: Be sure to use genuine OPTI-PRO Max replacement parts.
Using another manufacturer's replacement parts could affect product
performance and will void the warranty.
LEAK DETECTION
1. Turn off the engine.
2. Add the appropriate fluorescent dye to the air-conditioning or fluid system. For
best results, use Tracerline
®
universal/ester and PAG A/C dyes, as well as
TP-3400 and TP-3900 series fluid dyes. See instructions included with dyes.
3. Start the engine and run the system for 5 to 10 minutes to circulate the dye.
4. Turn off the engine. Put on the glasses supplied. Scan the system with the
flashlight. Leaks will show with a bright fluorescent glow. Use the flashlight in
low-light conditions for best performance.
