Compression Mount T-Rac Pro Installation Notes: • The T-Rac mounts onto the side rails of your truck without drilling. • Installation is straight forward, and should take approximately 45 minutes to complete. 1. Verify that you have received the correct parts using the assembly drawing and packing list. Tools Required 1) Socket Wrench 2) 9/16” Socket 3) 5/16” Allen Wrench Recommended 1) Torque Wrench 2.
. Attach each crossbar onto a left and right corner unit by inserting the 2 T-bolts through the saddle plate holes, and attaching locknuts. Next fasten the corner brace to the crossbar with the remaining T-bolts and washers, leaving the 3/8” self-locking nuts loose for adjustments later. Attach the bottom of the corner brace (with boss) using a 3/8-16 x 1-1/4” hex head cap screw with washer (Figure 2) to the corner unit. Figure 2. Crossbar Assembly, Rearview 4.

5. Slide the clamps into the base rail channel, and spread the clamps as far apart as possible. One clamp should be positioned within 1/2” from the far end of the base rail, and the second clamp no more than 8” in from the upright end of the base rail. (The distance between clamps should be no less than 12”) On some truck models the stake pocket may cause interference, (See Figure 4. for various clamping locations). 6. Next thread in the 3/8” x 2-1/2” cap screw into the clamp, and onto the U-channel.
Figure 5. Clamp Mounting Detail 7. Push the clamp assembly outboard against the sidewall, and lightly tighten the cap screws. 8. Once a set of corners has been loosely tightened to the truck sidewall, center the crossbar left to right. Crossbar should fit flat on the saddle plates plates, (fig. 1) then tighten the saddle plate T-bolt nuts (Torque T-bolt nuts to 240 in-lbs.) in-lbs.). Next tighten corner brace fasteners to 240 in-lbs.
9. Now you’re ready to install the crossbar tie downs. Slide the tiedown, T-bolt first, into the notch in the top of the crossbar and lock them in place with the knob. (See Figure 6). Notes: For trucks with over the rail bedliners, follow steps 1 through 6 with the bedliner off. Note the clamp locations and transfer them to the bedliner. Cutouts should be approximately 3”w x 6”h. Reinstall bedliner, repeat installation. Although the T-Rac is capable of carrying a maximum of 750 lbs.
