10. GREASE MANAGEMENT:
CAUTION! Grease res are caused by not
properly maintaining the grill and failing to clean
the grease drip tray on a consistent basis.
(See “Maintaining Your Grill” for instructions.)
• In the unlikely event of a grease re while
cooking, turn the switch OFF (O) to reduce
the amount of oxygen in the cooking chamber.
Disconnect the grill power cord from the
electrical outlet and keep the lid closed
until the re is completely out.
• Never keep the lid open during a grease re.
If the re does not go out, lightly sprinkle
baking soda on the re.
CAUTION! Be careful not to burn yourself.
• If this does not put out the re, carefully
remove the food from the grill and keep the lid
closed until the re is completely out.
• When the grill is completely cool, remove the
porcelain-coated grill grate and the drip tray
liner, if applicable.
• Clean any grease accumulation from the
grease drip tray and grill body. Replace the
grease drip tray, new drip tray liner, and the
porcelain-coated grill grate in their proper
positions, restart the grill, and resume
cooking.
