CLEANING & CARE
Congratulatio ns on choosing your new laminate floor. This flo o r is virtually
maintenance free . Because we impregnate our surface with melamine, it is resistant
to dirt and dust. No rmal sweeping will usually kee p your floor clean. If stu bbor n
spots sti ll remai n, us e a laminate floor cleaner. CAUTION - usi ng too much water
dur ing cleaning ca n c ause cupping o f the planks c re ating permanent damage to y o ur
floo r , and i s not covered by war ra nty. In es pecially d irt y areas, mats sh ould be used
on the l aminate in order to create c lean walk zones. To maintain the quality of your
laminate f loor, use ru bber o r felt p ro tect o rs unde r the legs of your furnit ure a nd soft
rub ber ca sters complying with the wheel -be aring s urf aces standard DIN 68131 ty pes
W. A healthy roo m clim ate with ro om tempe rature o f 64° -71° (18°-22° C) an d
re lative humid it y o f 55% -65% is as important for your lam in ate floor as it i s for your
family.

Rec ommended Tips
Never leave any amount o f liquid (water , j u ice , so ft dr ink , alcohol, etc.) on t he f lo or
fo r mo re than the time necessary to cle a n the sp ill. Immediately wipe up wet areas
fro m spills, foreign substan ces or wet shoes.
Do not use any cle a ni ng a gents containing wax, oil or polish. Left o ver residue from
these agents can le ave a dull f ilm on t he floor.
Do no t use steel wool or sco uring powder, as this could scratch the floor.
Use either a nat ura l or c o lor-fast doormat outside and ins ide each e ntrance to
your home to prevent dirt, sa nd, grit and other subst a nc es from bein g t racked onto
the floor.
Use wide- bearing, no n-stai ni ng floor protectors, such as felt pro te ctors for chair legs
and table legs.
Cleaning stai ns a nd ot her problems
Juice, w i ne , grease, c hocolate: dampen a rag with water and a laminate floor
cleaner and spot clean.
Cigarette burn s, as p halt, shoe po l ish , pa int, ink, c rayon, drie d fo o ds, nail
po lish: dampen a rag with ru bbing a lcohol or nail polis h remover and spo t
clean.
Candle w ax, c hewing gum: allo w to harden an d gent ly scra pe with a plasti c
scraper.

1. The flooring must be insta lled in accordanc e with Manufa cture r ’s insta llation
instructions. Flooring in bat hro om applic atio ns m ust be insta lled using pro per
techniques. The Warranty does not apply if the laminat e floo ri ng has not been
cleaned, maint a ine d or cared for acco rdi ng to the cleaning an d ca re
instructions provided by Manufacturer.
