Owners manual

Develop a preliminary routing plan for the cable assembly from
the mounting point on dash to the carburetor that is relatively free
from obstructions and will avoid extremely tight bends in the
cable.
Determine exact locations of cable mounting point on dashboard
or on bracket below dashboard (bracket not included).
Before drilling hole, make sure the drill bit will not damage
anything on the back side when it penetrates the metal. Drill a
3/8” diameter hole in dashboard or bracket.
Remove the nut and lock washer from the choke cable assembly
and insert the cable and housing into the hole. Slide lock washer
and nut over end of cable until it reaches the backside of the
dashboard or bracket and tighten the nut.
Route the cable through the firewall so that it exits on the same
side the choke is located on th carburetor, if possible. Search for
any existing hole in the firewall and route the cable through it. If
this cannot be done, a new hole may have to be drilled. Before
drilling into the firewall, make sure the drill bit will not damage
anything on the backside when it penetrates the metal.
Route the cable to the choke on the carburetor. Attach the cable
housing to the bracket on the carburetor (carburetors with
manual choke will have an existing bracket to do this). Attach the
cable to the choke lever. The knob on the dash should be in the
“in” position and the choke should be in the “off” position (flapper
open).
Check to see the choke is operating (fully opening and closing)
correctly before starting engine.
