Using the Optical Viewfinder to Shoot
Your camera is also equipped with an optical viewfinder to compose images.
Using the viewfinder helps you to compose images and adjust the subject in
the crisp focus. Taking images by using the optical viewfinder will conserve
more battery power. If your batteries’ level is in low condition, it is
recommended to compose images by using the viewfinder. The LCD monitor
can help you accurately compose the pictures and examine all the details, but
using it may also consume more battery power.
1. Open the lens cover and press the POWER button to turn on your camera.
2. Set the scene mode in the Capture menu based on the desired scenery.
(Auto/Sports/Night Scene/Portrait/Landscape/Back Light).
3. Compose your image in the viewfinder.
4. Press the shutter button.
Using the Normal Mode
Normal mode is used to take images where the distance to the subject 1.1m to
infinity. Select this mode for general shooting, including portraits and scenery.
1. Open the lens cover and press the POWER button to turn on your camera.
2. Move the focus switch located on the front side of the camera to the [ ]
position.
3. Compose your image.
4. Press the shutter button.
Note:
LCD monitor will display [A ] as indicating Normal mode.
